Roundabout Theatre Company (Todd Haimes, Artistic Director) is pleased to announce the full company of the new Broadway production of George Bernard Shaw's play Mrs. Warren's Profession, starring Tony Award winner Cherry Jones as 'Kitty Warren' & Golden Globe winner Sally Hawkins making her Broadway debut as 'Vivie Warren', directed by Tony Award winner Doug Hughes at the American Airlines Theatre on Broadway (227 West 42nd St).

Cortland Repertory Theatre's stage will spark with 'steam heat' in the third show of their 39th season as they present the all-singing, all-dancing musical 'The Pajama Game', with music and lyrics by Richard Adler and Jerry Ross, and a book written by George Abbott and Richard Bissell based on Bissell's novel '7 1/2 Cents'. The original 1955 Broadway production won the Tony Award for Best Musical, and Bob Fosse won his first of many Tonys for Best Choreography. The recent 2006 Broadway revival starred Harry Connick Jr. and won the Tony Award for Best Musical Revival with Kathleen Marshall also winning for Best Choreography. CRT's production will be the first time this theatre has presented the musical, which will also be the first professional production in Central New York in years. Programming a season is always a bit of a balancing act. The goal is to be true to Roundabout's mission while providing our audience with an exciting range of work over the course of each year. I'd say that we generally do one big musical revival each year, and that always fits nicely in balance with the classic play revivals and new play work that we're doing. To me, it's exciting to be producing this great piece of musical theatre at the same time that we'll be running plays by Oscar Wilde and Tennessee Williams. That's exactly the kind of range that I think the audience is looking for. Anything Goes, with its great Cole Porter score, is a perfect representative of traditional musicals from the "Golden Age." It really goes to the heart and soul of why we started producing musical revivals back in 1993. As a truly American art form, it's so important that we bring these musicals back to the stage, and since Anything Goes hasn't been seen on Broadway in more than two decades, it's time to share this show with a new generation.

The Kleban Foundation is pleased to announce that the 20th Annual Kleban Prize for the most promising musical theater lyricist has gone to Peter Mills and the award for the most promising musical theater librettist has gone to Barry Wyner. The 2010 awards will be presented on June 21, 2010, in a private ceremony (by invitation only) at ASCAP.

Talking to AOL's 'the Boot' before performing at the CMA Music Fest, Reba McEntire chatted about the recent reading of 'The Unsinkable Molly Brown' for which she has been reportedly courted. The site reports that 'Reba has been to New York City for a reading of the new script and hear some of the new music written for the proposed musical. 'It's very appealing to me,' she admits. 'The production is a long way from being ready so we'll have to wait and see what happens when it is finished.'

The national tour of the hit Broadway show GREASE will play its final performance on May 23rd in Cleveland. The tour was originally supposed to hold a limited run in Boston; however, that run has been canceled. The tour will play Cleveland's Palace Theatre from May 11th through the 23rd.

Michael Riedel, in today's New York Post reports that Sutton Foster has been cast in an upcoming Roundabout Theatre Company revival of ANYTHING GOES.
