Lookingglass Theatre Company presents the return of Ensemble Member Mary Zimmerman's instant holiday classic The Steadfast Tin Soldier, from the story by Hans Christian Andersen.

Collaboraction Theatre Company will launch its 2019-20 mainstage season at Kennedy-King College (KKC) at 63rd and Halsted in the college's 292-seat, state-of-the-art mainstage theater, with its fourth annual Peacebook Festival, Thursday through Saturday, August 15-17.

The House Theatre of Chicago continues their 2018 -2019 season with the beloved tale of Pinocchio at The Chopin Theatre upstairs theatre, 1543 W. Division, March 28 - May 19. This world premiere of the classic story inspired by the works of Carlo Collodi has been adapted for the stage by Company Members Joseph Steakley and Ben Lobpries. The House Theatre of Chicago's rendition of Pinocchio features the direction of Company Member Chris Mathews.

Family Days will be held on Saturdays, December 1 and 15, 2018, Thursday, January 3, 2019, and Saturday, January 12, 2019 at 2 p.m. with a meet and greet to follow at 3:15 p.m.

Due to high ticket demand, additional dates, August 30 - September 9, 2018, have been added. 20,000 Leagues Under the Seas plays at Lookingglass Theatre Company, located inside Chicago's historic Water Tower Water Works, 821 N. Michigan Ave. at Pearson. This marks the second and final extension of the production.

The Neo-Futurists present Ensemble Member Trevor Dawkins' A Story Told in Seven Fights, directed by Tony Santiago, playing at 5153 N. Ashland Ave., March 1 April 7. Previews are Thursday, March 1 Saturday, March 3 at 7:30 p.m., with opening night Monday, March 5 at 7:30 p.m. The running time is currently 80 minutes. Performances run Thursdays Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. Ticket prices for previews and Thursdays are pay-what-you-can; for the regular run, tickets are $10-25. The LIVINGroom announces the lineup and details for the second installment of its 2017 solo performance season at Stage 773. Performers Anu Bhatt, David Gordezky, Maddy Low, Nick McDowell & Tatsue Sera, and Jerome Riley take the Cabaret Theater stage in Stage 773 on Sundays, May 7, 14, and 21 in The LIVINGroom's Lobster Show, directed by LIVINGroom ensemble member Abigail Phelps. The evening's emcee is Kasey Foster.
