Stars of the highly anticipated 'Teen Beach Movie' cast attended a performance of the Tony Award-winning hit musical Newsies in which their co-star LaVon Fisher-Wilson also stars. Newsies is at The Nederlander Theatre in New York City www.NewsiesTheMusical.com and the highly anticipated Disney Channel Original Movie, a retro sun, surf and sand fest, premieres Friday, July 19, 2013 (8:00 p.m., ET/PT). Mary Tyler Moore and Bernadette Peters will host the 15th annual BROADWAY BARKS!, a star-studded dog and cat adoption event benefiting New York City animal shelters and adoption agencies. Produced by Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, sponsored by the ASPCA (The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) and additional sponsorship by the New York Times, BARKS will take place on Saturday, July 13 in Shubert Alley, the heart of the Broadway Theater District (located between 44th and 45thStreets, between Broadway and Eighth Avenues). The festivities begin at 3:30 p.m.; celebrity presentations of pets from animal shelters citywide will take place between 5-6:30 p.m. This year, BARKS will open the show with a performance from the Jersey Boysfollowed by the Broadway debut of many adoptable animals presented by many stars from this season's 'hottest' shows. In addition, Peters will be in Shubert Alley with famed illustrator/ author, Hilary Knight, the designer of this year's BARKS poster and Playbill cover. The signing is from 12 noon - 2:00p.m. All proceeds benefit Broadway Barks!

Newsies, the hit Tony Award-winning 'critics' pick,' will celebrate 500 performances on Broadway at 8:00p.m. on Saturday, June 8 at the Nederlander Theatre (208 W 41st St.).

Joining songwriter Overcash for the 9PM concert will be Richard H. Blake (Wicked, Legally Blonde), Nick Cartell (Jesus Christ Superstar, Scandalous), Ariana DeBose (Motown, Bring It On), Jason Gotay (F#%king Up Everything, Bring It On), Emma Hunton (Rent, Next to Normal), Kara Lindsay (Newsies), Zak Resnick (Mamma Mia!), Christina Sajous (Spider-Man, American Idiot) and NYC a'capella group BLACKOUT.

On the second part of THE GRAHAM SHOW's 11th episode, 'Mia Hamm, Tap Dancing & Mom,' NEWSIES' Kara Lindsay remembers her audition for Newsies and reflects on how she discovered theater and who has supported and inspired her.

Elvis Costello and Diana Krall seized the day on Sunday, May 20, at the hit Tony Award-winning Broadway musical, NEWSIES. Following the performance, the couple visited with the cast backstage. Check out a photo below!
