The Dramatists Guild Fund (DGF) announces that it will begin expanding its Dramatists Guild Fellows Program through collaboration with developmental theater organizations. Each resident theater program will select one playwright or writing team to join their workshop season.

Join Midtown Direct Rep in developing new and innovative American theatre. Following on the heels of MDR's successful development of Rated P (for parenthood) which all the way to Off-Broadway, MDR's new program, 'Midtown Direct Rep in the Loft,' aims to do the same for other previously unseen material. MDR will now be presenting monthly readings or workshops of new plays and musicals one Sunday night a month at 7PM in the SOPAC loft. With a cash bar and post show discussions with our casts and creative teams, MDR will foster a fun and collaborative environment to nurture the development of top notch theatre right here at home.

Page 73 Announces 2014 Development Programs Workshop

Page 73 Productions, which is currently accepting applications on its website (www.page73.org/apply) for three of its signature development programs: the P73 Playwriting Fellowship, the Interstate 73 writers group, and the Page 73 Summer Residency at Yale, will host an information session with its Executive Director Liz Jones and its Associate Director Michael Walkup for interested applicants on Thursday, March 21st at 7pm at the Manhattan Theatre Club Rehearsal Studios (311 West 43rd Street, 8th Floor). Philadelphia International Festival of the Arts Set for 3/28-4/27

The countdown continues as the Kimmel Center gears up for the return of Philadelphia International Festival of the Arts 2013. From March 28 to April 27, The Kimmel Center becomes a destination extraordinaire of cultural engagement, activating its plaza space with a feast of FREE activities, including live performances on the TD Bank Plaza Stage, a FREE time machine interactive exhibit, and nightly FREE "Flash of Time" theatrical show celebrating the theme, "If You Had a Time Machine…," sponsored by The Dow Chemical Company, and many more family friendly FREE performances and ticketed events with the return of the city-wide festival. Additionally, the Kimmel Center's Education Department will present some of its programming in the Commonwealth Plaza including Sharon Katz and the Peace Train, sponsored by ACE Group.

Interstate 73, Page 73 Productions' writers group supporting early-career playwrights, where selected playwrights meet biweekly to share new pages with their peers and Page 73's Executive and Associate Directors, will welcome Stephen Brown, Meghan Deans, Peter Gil-Sheridan, David Jenkins, Kait Kerrigan, EM Lewis and Caroline V. McGraw (who was also selected as the 2013 P73 Playwriting Fellow) into the group this year.
