Williamstown Theatre Festival (Mandy Greenfield, Artistic Director) has announced that the annual WTF Gala will be held at City Winery in New York City (155 Varick Street) on Monday, February 9, 2015 at 6:30 PM. The evening will feature appearances and performances by Tony and Emmy Award-winner Martin Short, two-time Tony Award-winner and Williamstown veteran Katie Finneran, the acclaimed PigPen Theatre Co., up-and-coming singer/songwriter Benjamin Scheuer (The Lion), and New York favorite Rebecca Naomi Jones, with more performers and participants to be announced.
BWW Review: Disturbing TUSK is One of the Best Movies of the Year

If you don't like watching excessive gore, don't see TUSK. If you don't like watching depraved human violence, don't see TUSK. If you don't like watching extreme human mutilation, don't see TUSK. However, if you are able to stomach this type of content in exchange for a wickedly glorious story, then there is no acceptable excuse for not seeing TUSK, the masterpiece of Kevin Smith's already storied career. Though I will undoubtedly be in the minority with this opinion, TUSK is unquestionably my favorite movie of the year.

Williamstown Theatre Festival welcomes Renee Fleming in the World Premiere of LIVING ON LOVE, opening today, July 16, and continuing through the 26th. This World Premiere by Joe DiPIetro and Garson Kanin is based on the play Peccadillo by Garson Kanin and directed by three-time Tony Award winner Kathleen Marshall.

Joe DiPietro on his New Work LIVING ON LOVE

In 2012, Joe DiPietro joined forces with director Kathleen Marshall to take a forgotten Gershwin show, revamp it, and turn it into hit Nice Work if You Can Get it. Now, according to The Boston Globe, they're at it again. This time, they are taking Garson Kanin's 1985 play Peccadillo and turning it into Living on Love. Living on Love follows a Italian maestro and his wife, an opera dive, who hire ghostwriters of the opposite sex to pen competing memoirs. They both become trapped between their drive to battle each other and the feelings that arise for their ghostwriters.
