In this play about a family coping with Alzheimer's disease, Lecesne, an award-winning playwright and actor, wanted to tell a story 'about how people hold onto their stories until it is no longer necessary.'

On Thursday, Abingdon Theatre Company celebrated the opening night of THE MOTHER OF INVENTION, a new play written by James Lecesne about how one family deals with the effects of Alzheimer's. Broadway veteran Dale Soules has returned to New York with her third consecutive Screen Actors Guild Award in the category of Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy for her work on the smash-hit Netflix series ORANGE IS THE NEW BLACK.
