The New York Musical Festival (NYMF), previously known as The New York Musical Theater Festival, has announced Tony Award winner Jessie Mueller (Waitress, Beautiful - The Carole King Musical) as the 2016 NYMF Honorary Chair. The 2016 New York Musical Festival will be presented from July 11 through August 7 in various venues in Midtown Manhattan.

?The new musical, A SCYTHE OF TIME will be presented as part of the New York Musical Theatre festival at the June Havoc Theatre (312 W 36th Street). A Scythe of Time is written by Alan Harris with music and lyrics by Mark Alan Swanson. It will be directed by David Alpert (IF/THEN), with musical direction by Ryan Cantwell (National Tour: Pippin, Finding Neverland).  It will begin performances on July 21 and will run through July 26, 2016. Tickets are $27.50 and can be purchased by visiting NYMF.org.

Abingdon Theatre Company recently celebrated the opening night of STET, a new play which has extended its Off-Broadway performances through July 10. Written by Kim Davies and developed by Kim Davies, Jocelyn Kuritsky and Tony Speciale, STET is produced in association with The Muse Project.  Artistic Director Tony Speciale directs the world-premiere drama inspired by the Rolling Stone article 'A Rape on Campus.'

Abingdon Theatre Company, in association with The Muse Project, presents STET is a new play inspired by the Rolling Stone article 'A Rape on Campus,' written by Kim Davies and developed by Kim Davies, Jocelyn Kuritsky and Artistic Director Tony Speciale. Opening is set for June 23. Tickets are now on sale through July 3. Tony Speciale is set to direct the Off-Broadway production, marking his inaugural programming as Artistic Director.

Benefit Concert, Revival and Potluck Dinner, a new musical about faith, narcissism and red velvet cake with book and lyrics by Geoff Davin, additional music and lyrics by Nicole Boggs & KelleyAnn Hocter & additional music by David Mescon.  Martha Wilkinson directs a cast of six, including Geoff Davin, Megan Murphy Chambers, Jennifer Whitcomb-Oliva, Brooke Leigh Davis, Rosemary Fossee, and Michael San Miguel. The First Church of Mary is being staged at the June Havoc Theatre, 312 West 36th Street, 1st Floor in NYC for five performances from Monday, July 18 through Friday, July 22, 2015.

Tome Cousin is an interdisciplinary artist who has molded an award winning international career that includes collaboration and performance on Broadway, television, film, dance, theater, music, photography, and literature. He holds a Bachelors of Arts in Dance History and Choreography and a Masters of Fine Art in New Media Art and Performance. He is an Associate Professor of Dance at the Carnegie Mellon University School of Drama.
