As a super-special Spring extension of BroadwayWorld's SOUND OFF column, every day until the Tony Awards on June 12 we will be presenting a spectacular new entry in the SPOTLIGHT ON THE 2011 TONY AWARDS series featuring a particularly entertaining, interesting, relevant and exciting Tony Awards-related clip from the last sixty-three pyears of the ceremonies (and subsequent seasons on Broadway) with a rundown and commentary on the sights, sounds and showmanship on display in each carefully chosen selection - all, of course, coming in anticipation of Broadway's biggest night, which will be broadcast on CBS this year, as always. Once again this year, BroadwayWorld is the official home of the 2011 Tony Awards and we will also be featuring exclusive interviews, articles, photos, video content, interactive features and more in the coming days and weeks leading up to the event so be sure to check back daily for your theatre fix!

Terrace Plaza Playhouse is pleased to present CINDERELLA (Enchanted Edition), June 17 - July 30, 2011 every Friday, Saturday and Monday evening at 7:30 PM.

First up is First Night: The Tony Concert, to be presented by Keeping Scores Concerts at Franklin's Boiler Room Theatre on Monday, June 6, at 7:30 p.m. Featuring some of Nashville's biggest and brightest theater stars performing songs from Tony Award-winning musicals, the concert serves as the kick-off of the 2011 First Night Season in Nashville, culminating with First Night, The Nashville Theatre Honors, which will be presented at Belmont University's Troutt Theatre on Sunday, September 4.

So when "Mary Poppins" popped up on the marquee I thought, "Well, this will be cute," but I didn't hold out for more than that. I mean I love the movie but what more can they do with that? Who could have guessed that I would be in for a truly magical and exhilarating ride that left me with tears streaming down my face and perma-grin for the ride home?

Off-Broadway's Irish Repertory Theatre presents its 2011 Annual Benefit Gala, a concert performance on Broadway of Alan Jay Lerner and Frederick Loewe's CAMELOT - the beloved musical that defined an age with its lush romantic score that soars above the legendary tale of idealism, passion and betrayal - on Monday, June 6 at The Shubert Theatre (225 West 44th Street) in Manhattan.

Dundalk Community Theatre concludes its 2010/11 season with the final performance of Rodgers & Hammerstein's musical version of CINDERELLA on May 22.

Ford's Theatre Society will host its annual gala on Sunday, June 5, 2011, at Ford's Theatre (511 10th Street NW) followed by a seated dinner at the National Portrait Gallery and Smithsonian American Art Museum (750 Ninth Street NW).

The Sound of Music will bring The Rose's 2010/2011 season to a close and kick off the summer with an experience families won't soon forget.

New Dramatists, Tony Honor® recipient and the nation's premiere playwright development workshop, honored 14-time Tony Award® winner Roger Berlind with their 2011 Lifetime Achievement Award at its 62nd Annual Spring Luncheon tribute, yesterday, May 17th at the New York Marriott Marquis. Philip J. Smith and Robert E. Wankel of The Shubert Organization served as the Luncheon Chairs. Jim Dale, Emily Mann and Brian Stokes Mitchell were among those paying tribute to Mr Berlind. According to published reports, Simon Ward, who was set to play Alfred P. Dolittle in the West End revival of PYGMALION, had to pull out of the production because of a virus. While his understudy, Brendan Hooper, will replace Ward for now, an announcement is expected to be be made later today with the news of a new actor joining the show. The show is still on track to open on May 25.

According to reports from Variety, Julie Andrews, Gemma Arterton, Matthew Goode and Gabriel Byrne have all signed on to star in a screen adaptation of Agatha Christie's book 'Crooked House.'

'In the theatre, we ignite the power of the arts to tell stories we all want and need to hear. Next season at TheatreZone, we are going to do just that,' promises Mark Danni, founder and artistic director of TheatreZone, the not-for-profit, professional theatre known for its tradition of bringing the 'lost treasures of Broadway' to Southwest Florida.

Dundalk Community Theatre concludes its 2010/11 season with Rodgers & Hammerstein's musical version of CINDERELLA from May 13 - 22. There will be a Special Saturday Matinee, May 21, with tickets Two for $25, starting at 2pm. The Matinee will have a special Princess Boutique and Prince Knighting event starting at 12:30pm for children, with the characters from the show. Individual tickets are $22 for adults, $19 for senior adults and $14 for students/DCT Actors/Children 12 and under, for all other performance.
