According to reports from Variety, Julie Andrews, Gemma Arterton, Matthew Goode and Gabriel Byrne have all signed on to star in a screen adaptation of Agatha Christie's book "Crooked House."

The film will be helmed by Neil LaBute and is adapted by "Gosford Park" scribe Julian Fellowes.

"Crooked House" is one of the Christie books that has yet to be adapted for the big screen of television and is known to be one of Fellowes favourites.

The story involves a large number of characters and the crime scene is set against backdrop of three generations of family members living together in a large and crooked house.

"Crooked House" focuses on Sophia, who's multi-millionaire grandfather is poisoned. Sophia tells her fiancé that she can't marry until the murderer is caught.

The film is budgeted around the $20 million mark and is set to begin filming in the U.K. this summer.
"The story has a couple of fresh sides to it that I didn't remember from her (Christie's) work," LaBute told Variety. "There's a love story, which didn't feature strongly in many of her books, so that seemed very different to me and fresh. Plus it's quite morally ambiguous, which also appealed to me."
