THE GREEN ROOM 42 in association with THE CIVILIANS, is proud to present Michael Friedman's The State of The Union Songbook to benefit The Civilians "Michael Friedman Legacy Fund" on Election Night, Tuesday, November 6, for two shows at 7:00 PM and 9:30 PM. The cast will include Jill Sobule, Jaime Cepero, Julian Fleisher, Kristolyn Lloyd, Nick Blaemire, Lauren Molina, Michael Winther, Conor Ryan, Wayne Pretlow, Johnny Shea, and Robbie Sublett, who will serve as the host for the evening, in addition to other names to be announced.

On Friday, September 7 at 7pm, The Jerome L. Greene Performance Space at WNYC will present the Season 3 premiere of "44 Charlton" -- a monthly variety show featuring some of the funniest and edgiest performers living in New York City.

The international movement and entertainment company, Pilobolus (Executive Producer, Itamar Kubovy; Renee Jaworski and Matt Kent, artistic directors), kicks-off its first ever Pilobolus Five Senses Festival this weekend. A celebration of arts and ideas convening the company's vast network of creative, world-renowned collaborators in its own backyard of Washington, Connecticut, the festival begins Friday, July 27 and runs through August 11, rain or shine. Franklin Stage Company will present a weekend packed with music and laughter, starting with a performance by NY cabaret sensation Julian Fleisher and His Rather Big Band on Friday, August 3rd at 7:30pm. A Saturday afternoon show follows at 2:00pm for Circus Minimus, a one-man circus in a suitcase, written and performed by Kevin O'Keefe. Saturday August 4th at 7:30m Fleisher takes the stage again, followed by an encore performance of Circus Minimus on Sunday Aug 5 at 3:00pm.

The Micro-Musical Theatre Show's new production of the micro-musical TRAPPED IN THE CLOSET featuring Earphones Award winner, and audiobook narrator Sarah Naughton, and Golden Key Composition Competition winner Jake Weinstein. TRAPPED IN THE CLOSET  is performed by Sarah Naughton (Book and Lyrics)  and Jake Weinstein (Music and Lyrics). Also performing on the recording Jake Weinstein on piano,  is Will Melones on bass guitar and Tristan Marzeski on drums and drums and percussion.

This Friday (June 29), Spiegeltent at Bard SummerScape welcomes Emmy, Obie, Outer Critics Circle award winner and three-time Tony Award nominee Martha Plimpton (The Goonies, The Real O'Neals) with her acclaimed cabaret show "All The Presidents Mann."  In the spirit of Independence Day, Plimpton and her brilliant musical director Dan Lipton (The Last Ship, The Other Josh Cohen, Kelli O'Hara) pay tribute to genius songwriter Aimee Mann, dedicating songs to some of their most (and least) favorite U.S. Presidents. With wit, charm, and vocal prowess, Plimpton and Lipton lead their audience through a minefield of love, loss, and electoral misjudgment, with the music of one of America's greatest living songwriters.

The Orchard Project is proud to announce the artists, teams, and ensembles participating in its twelfth summer theatre residency program. More than 30 artists and ensembles were selected for residencies this summer from nearly 600 theatre artists and companies who applied. The artists, teams, and companies will come to Saratoga Springs from across the United States and the world to accelerate projects at various stages of development. Obie-Award winning performance group, The Secret City, announces their annual gala, a Gershwin Cabaret held in the penthouse that formerly belonged to Ira Gershwin, next door to the Penthouse lived in by his brother, George. The Gershwin's shared musical output from the early 20th century shaped the course of American popular music and much of their most celebrated work was created in these apartments.

The Franklin Stage Company, Delaware County's renowned classical summer theater, announces the roster for their 22nd season, presenting and producing performances from July 4 weekend through Labor Day.

As magical as the evening was, after Freddie Gershon gave an impassioned presentation to the duo, Harvey Schmidt and Tom Jones hit the stage and brought the house down at ages 88 and 89 respectively. They joined forces onstage to perform a song from their musical The Bone Room, described by Jones as being about 'the pleasures of dying and being embalmed in this great country of ours.'
