New York Choral Society (NYCS) will join the Opera Orchestra of New York (OONY) for its Fall Gala Concert at Carnegie Hall.

The Opera Orchestra of New York opens its 2010-11 season on Monday, October 25 at 7:30 pm at Carnegie Hall with a double-bill of Massenet's La Navarraise starring tenor Roberto Alagna, mezzo-soprano Elena Garanea, and bass Ildar Abdrazakov and Pietro Mascagni's Cavalleria Rusticana starring Mr. Alagna, soprano Maria Guleghina, and mezzo-sopranos Krysty Swann and Mignon Dunn, conducted by Music Director Designate Alberto Veronesi. New York City Center's seventh annual Fall for Dance Festival, running September 28 - October 9, will showcase 20 national and international companies and choreographers. With ticket prices remaining at $10 for all seats, a night of dance is more affordable than a night at the movies. The festival will include world and U.S. premieres, and will feature several companies making their first U.S. appearances.
