Chicago Cabaret Professionals presents its tenth anniversary Gala Benefit 2008: 'OUR KIND OF TOWN'

Hamingson) and Joe's Pub (Director, Shanta Thake; General Manager Kevin Abbott) are proud to announce the Joe's Pub 10th Anniversary Weekend featuring 10 for the 10th, a two-day series of 10 free concerts at Joe's Pub, and an anniversary Gala paying tribute to legendary musician, champion of emerging artists, and New Yorker Judy Collins.

Jim Caruso's Cast Party will present composer John Bucchino in concert, as part of the Nightlife Award-winning series Broadway at Birdland. The event will take place on Monday, November 3 at 7pm.

Joe's Pub at the Public Theater celebrates its 10th Anniversary from September through December. The 10th Anniversary Weekend kicks off the celebration on Friday, October 9, with the 10th Anniversary Gala: Tribute to Judy Collins featuring Judy Collins, Eric Andersen, Marc Cohn, Shawn Colvin, Mary Gauthier and John Martyn.

Corky Hale, renowned Jazz pianist, harpist and vocalist, will be a judge for the 8th Annual World Soundtrack Awards, sponsored by the World Soundtrack Academy as the closing event of the 35th Annual Ghent Film Festival, to be held in Ghent, Belgium from October 7 - 18, 2008

On October 16, Westchester's The Emelin Theatre will hold its 2008 Gala, A Sound Experience, to honor artists and local supporters of the arts.
