Landmark on Main Street presents Maude Maggart in concert on Saturday, November 22, 2008 at 8 PM. The concert is part of the Broadway and Cabaret Series which is sponsored by Susan Isaacs & Elkan Abramowitz, Jane & Martin Schwartz and Dot & Ed Slade with additional concert support from Carol & Sandy Krieger and season support from Harding Real Estate and Pall Corporation.
Maude Maggart may not be as well known as her sister, Fiona Apple, but she has been hailed as “bewitching” by the New York Times, “utterly enchanting” by the New York Post, “stunning” by the Los Angeles Times and “transfixing” by New York Magazine. She has studied under Andrea Marcovicci and Michael Feinstein, and has emerged as one of the finest interpreters of the American Songbook. She sings classics from composers such as Rodgers and Hart and Irving Berlin as well as performing songs from folk-era icons like Joan Baez and Judy Collins.This concert is dedicated to the memory of Landmark on Main Street’s benefactor, Robert Rimsky. The Rimsky Family is sponsoring a dessert reception immediately following the performance.The concert is part Landmark’s Broadway and Cabaret Series which also includes performances by Jeff Harnar Sings Cole Porter and Lucie Arnaz.Videos
