Performances began on Tuesday, January 20, 2009, the same day as the United States Presidential Inauguration, in preparation for tonight's February 5th opening. The limited engagement will run through March 15, 2009 at the Cort Theatre (138 West 48th Street)

Film and television star Will Ferrell's upcoming Broadway debut in his new one-man show 'You're Welcome America. Nicole joins a cast which includes Alli Mauzey as Glinda, Jayne Houdyshell as Madame Morrible, P.J. Benjamin as The Wizard, Kevin Kern as Fiyero, Alex Brightman as Boq, Brynn O'Malley as Nessarose, and Timothy Britten Parker as Dr. Dillamond. Aaron Tveit will return to the role of Fiyero on Friday, January 23. The role of Elphaba is currently being played by Marcie Dodd.

Universal Pictures in association with the Improv Comedy Club presents 'A NIGHT OF FUNNY PEOPLE' at the Orpheum Theater, Los Angeles, on Tuesday January 13, 2009 'A Night of Funny People' is a one-time-only comedy performance that will be filmed for use in Universal Pictures' upcoming 'Funny People,' from writer/director/producer Judd Apatow. The film stars Adam Sandler, Seth Rogen, Leslie Mann, Eric Bana, Jonah Hill, Jason Schwartzman, RZA, Aubrey Plaza and Aziz Ansari.

Variety is reporting that HBO has signed on as a producer of Will Ferrell's upcoming Broadway show, 'You're Welcome America. A Final Night with George W. Bush'. The cable network is also set to air a live telecast of the show from Broadway, at a date to be named later. (It's assumed that it'll be from towards the end of the show's run).
