SMASH will have its premiere on the NBC network on February, 6, 2012. Developed from an idea of Executive Producer and multiple Emmy and Oscar winner Steven Spielberg, SMASH explores the subculture of musical theatre; celebrating the beauty and heartbreak of Broadway. Boasting a stellar cast from stage and screen, SMASH stars Emmy award winning actress Debra Messing, Academy Award winner Anjelica Huston, Katharine McPhee, Jack Davenport, Tony Award nominee Christian Borle, Megan Hilty and Tony Award nominee Brian d'Arcy James. James William Productions and Stephenie Skyllas will present Kurt Peterson and Victoria Mallory in When Everything Was Possible, A Concert (with comments), for one night only, Sunday April 29th (7:30pm) at New York City Center (131 West 55th Street, between 6th and 7th Avenues), as a benefit for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. They will be joined by a thirteen-piece band (Michael Rafter, Music Director), playing new orchestrations by Tony Award winner Jonathan Tunick. Larry Moss directs, with musical staging by Joshua Bergasse ("Smash"). Carolyn Wong will provide lighting design, with sound design by Leon Rothenberg and projection design by Telegraphicmedia.

Hodges and Hodges were on the scene for the advance screening of SMASH, NBC's behind the curtain look at what it takes to put on a Broadway show. The buzz was already huge (BWW covered the New York premiere last month) with many of Broadway's biggest stars giving the show a thumbs up. So, dressed up in our finest, we drove to San Francisco, dashing past the Curran and Orpheum theatres to make our way to the theater for the premiere.

Choreographer Josh Bergasse is choreographing the new Steven Spielberg produced drama series 'Smash' on NBC, scheduled to debut in February of 2012. Starring, Will and Grace alumnus Debra Messing, Shakespearean actress Anjelica Huston, singer/actress Katharine McPhee and Pirates of the Caribbean trilogy star Jack Davenport, 'Smash' follows the story of the making of a fictional stage show, 'Marilyn: The Musical,' about the life of Marilyn Monroe. 'Smash' will air on Mondays at 10 pm.

This award-winning regional theatre in downtown Pittsfield Ma. celebrates its 17th season in the Berkshires under the leadership of Julianne Boyd, Artistic Director and Tristan Wilson, Managing Director. Guys and Dolls stars Michael Thomas Holmes (Oklahoma!/How the Grinch Stole Christmas) as Nathan Detroit, Morgan James (Wonderland/The Addams Family) as Sarah Brown, Leslie Kritzer (Sondheim on Sondheim, A Catered Affair, Legally Blonde) as Adelaide, Mathew Risch (Pal Joey, Legally Blonde) as Sky Masterson, Daniel Marcus as Nicely-Nicely Johnson, Timothy Shew as Benny Southstreet, Peggy Pharr Wilson as General Cartwright, and Gordon Stanley as Arvide Abernathy.
