Producers Paul Blake and Sony/ATV Music Publishing announced today that the full cast of Beautiful-The Carole King Musical, the smash hit musical about the early life and career of the legendary and groundbreaking singer/songwriter, will perform in City Parks Foundation's SummerStage festival in Central Park for one-night-only, on Monday, August 3 at 8:00 PM (doors open at 7:00 PM).

Producers Paul Blake and Sony/ATV Music Publishing announced that Abby Mueller has nabbed the title role in the First National Tour of Beautiful-The Carole King Musical, the smash hit musical about the early life and career of the legendary and groundbreaking singer/songwriter. Mueller's sister, Jessie Mueller, won the Tony Award in 2014 for Best Actress in a Musical for her portrayal of King in the show's Broadway production. Producers Paul Blake and Sony/ATV Music Publishing announced this week that Abby Mueller has nabbed the title role in the First National Tour of BEAUTIFUL -- THE CAROLE KING MUSICAL, the smash hit musical about the early life and career of the legendary and groundbreaking singer/songwriter. Mueller's sister, Jessie Mueller, won the Tony Award in 2014 Best Actress in a Musical her portrayal of King in the show's Broadway production.

Jonathan Groff may have been away from Broadway for a while, but this season he is taking the musical theatre community by storm. This spring he appeared in The Public Theater's breakthrough production of HAMILTON as King George III, a role he will follow to Broadway later this summer. He also appeared in a sold-out concert event of HOW TO SUCCEED, performed at London's Royal Festival Hall. Now, Groff is taking on the role of 'Gordon' in A NEW BRAIN, as part of ENCORES! Music Theatre Wichita opens its 44th summer season June 10-14 with the first of its five large-scale productions, Elton John and Tim Rice's Aida at Century II Concert Hall in downtown Wichita, KS. This marks the 28th season for producing artistic director Wayne Bryan.

Music Theatre Wichita's 44th Season includes Elton John and Tim Rice's 'Aida,' the professional premiere of Disney's 'My Son Pinocchio,' the area debuts of 'Billy Elliot - The Musical' and 'Big Fish,' and the return of 'Hello, Dolly!' after a 21-year absence.

The public is invited to an Open House and Preview Event showcasing the Fabulous Fox Theatre's 2015-2016 U.S. Bank Broadway Series on Sunday, May 31 from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Fox Theatre, 527 N. Grand Blvd. Visitors will be treated to live previews of MATILDA THE MUSICAL and BEAUTIFUL-THE CAROLE KING MUSICAL along with video previews from the other season shows.
