Following the huge success of the four previous seasons at Summerhall which have included the award-winning Us/Them, One Hundred Homes and The Great Downhill Journey of Little Tommy, Big in Belgium, Richard Jordan Productions, Summerhall and Theatre Royal Plymouth return to present a fifth BIG IN BELGIUM season at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe and featuring some of the most significant theatre companies from the Flemish part of Belgium. 

Under Artistic Director Ravi Jain, and Artistic Producers Owais Lightwala and Kelly Read, Why Not Theatre continues its reign as a theatre creator and instigator with an appetite for risk and experimentation, with a thrilling tenth-anniversary season.

Tickets go on sale today, April 11, for the US debut for SOULPEPPER, Toronto's largest and most celebrated theatre company, in a four-week engagement Off-Broadway at The Pershing Square Signature Center, 480 West 42nd Street in New York City, it was announced by Albert Schultz, SOULPEPPER's Founding Artistic Director.

Sonar Entertainment has entered into a first-look deal with Jordan Peele's production company Monkeypaw Productions.

The Q Brothers' Othello: The Remix, presented by John Leguizamo, written, composed and directed by GQ and JQ and developed with Rick Boynton, will play its final performance on Sunday, January 15th, 2017.

Brussels-based BRONKS, one of Belgium's leading theatres for young audiences bring their acclaimed Edinburgh Fringe hit Us/Them to the Dorfman Theatre from 16 January 2017 (press night 20 January).

New work by Inua Ellams, Ya?l Farber, DC Moore, Lindsey Ferrentino and Nina Raine is announced today by Rufus Norris, Director of the National Theatre. Four world premieres and two European premieres are further announced as forthcoming productions for the National Theatre in 2017.  

Chicago Shakespeare Theater (CST) announces the debut of a new collaboration with acclaimed artistic collective one step at a time like this entitled undreamed shores, a solo pedestrian micro-journey along Navy Pier. The coincidence of Shakespeare's legacy celebration, Shakespeare 400 Chicago, and Navy Pier's Centennial Anniversary in 2016 has inspired CST's third partnership with the Melbourne-based artists, who astonished audiences and critics alike with the large-scale urban journeys Since I Suppose (2014) and en route (2011). Now shifting their focus to a walk along the Theater's home on the shores of Lake Michigan, the new commission takes the shape of a contemplative voyage led by a voice-guided soundscape, which explores the possibility of discovering new perspectives in our everyday world. Specially crafted to be enjoyed by one person at a time, undreamed shores premieres in a limited engagement, October 7-23, 2016-with availability for only 200 travelers.

On Monday, September 26, 2016, The New York Innovative Theatre Foundation, the organization who for the past 12 years has been dedicated to celebrating Off-Off-Broadway, announced the 2016 recipients at its annual awards ceremony, The IT Awards. Hosted by a crowd favorite, Jason Kravits and directed by award winning director and sound designer, DeLisa White the ceremony took place from 7pm to 10pm at the Kaye Playhouse at Hunter College.

David Mirvish has announced the 17 shows in the 2016 - 2017 Mirvish Theatre Season.  There will be seven shows in the Mainstage Subscription Series, three in the Off-Mirvish Subscription Series, and seven bonus shows not on subscription.

Artistic Director of Theatre Royal Stratford East, Kerry Michael today announces the theatre's forthcoming season launching this September. The National Theatre of Scotland is celebrating 10 years of presenting acclaimed theatre at the Edinburgh Festivals. This year the Company brings the world premiere of ANYTHING THAT GIVES OFF LIGHT in a co-production with the Edinburgh International Festival and the TEAM, and two acclaimed music filled dramas about refugees and migration to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, as part of the Made in Scotland Showcase, both at the Assembly Hall; GLASGOW GIRLS, in a co-production with Pachamama Productions, Regular Music and Theatre Royal Stratford East, and LAST DREAM (ON EARTH), presented by Kai Fischer.
