TRAINSPOTTING Leads Citizens Theatre's Autumn Season

Today the Citizens Theatre announces its Autumn 2016 Season, featuring a major new Main Stage production of Harry Gibson's adaptation of Trainspotting, Irvine Welsh's controversial depiction of the drug culture of 1980s Edinburgh, directed by Citizens Theatre's Main Stage Director in Residence Gareth Nicholls; a large-scale community production written by Johnny McKnight based on the famous Glasgow urban myth of 'The Gorbals Vampire'; smash-hit musical Glasgow Girls' return to the Citizens Theatre following a fresh run at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe; riotous comedy of manners The Rivals directed by Dominic Hill in a co-production with Bristol Old Vic and Liverpool Everyman &Playhouse; Dundee Rep's hugely successful 2015 production of John McGrath's The Cheviot, the Stag and the Black, Black Oil; and a new festive production for all the family of Hansel and Gretel directed by Dominic Hill.

This Christmas audiences will be transformed to the land of StratEastHam by the Olivier Award nominated and critically acclaimed team at Theatre Royal Stratford East, with their new adaption of ROBIN HOOD. Combining the timeless story with a contemporary and fresh script and original music, this version is sure to impress audiences during its run at the highly renowned East London producing house. ROBIN HOOD is running from Saturday 5 December to Saturday 23 January, with press night tonight 16 December.

West End's AMERICAN IDIOT, Starring Amelia Lily, Announces Full Cast

Full casting is announced for Green Day's explosive award-winning Broadway musical American Idiot as it blasts into the UK from 17 July, at The Arts Theatre, Leicester Square.
The full cast are Luke Baker (Theo), Natasha Barnes (Heather), Alexis Gerred (Tunny), Llandyll Gove (Gerard), Raquel Jones (Extraordinary girl), Natasha Karp (Alysha) Robyn Mellor (Libby), Lucas Rush (St. Jimmy), Steve Rushton (Will), Aaron Sidwell (Johnny) and Ross William Wild (Joshua). They join the previously announced X Factor star, Amelia Lily who is playing Whatshername.
Unicorn Theatre to Host Free Debates Around Fight Night with Commentators
