PARADISE Extends Through 5/4 Ruskin Group Theatre

The run will take a hiatus from March 31st - April 12th, no performance on April 28th. The Producing Artistic Director is Donna Trinkoff and the Music Director is Paul Wolfson.

Amas Musical Theatre (Donna Trinkoff/Producing Artistic Director), will present free staged readings of SAVING THE MuSE, a new musical with music and lyrics by the late Edward Kleban, book by Linda Kline, and directed and developed by Michael Bush, on Monday June 28 at 6:00pm, and Tuesday, June 13 at 3:00pm and 7:00pm at Ripley-Grier Studios, 520 Eighth Avenue (10th Floor).

On Monday, April 26, Jim Caruso was pleased to present Marcy Heisler and Zina Goldrich in 'The Marcy & Zina Show' as part of the Broadway at Birdland concert series. This performance marked the 10th time the writing duo has performed at the historic music room! The Toxic Avenger to Close January 3, 2010; National Tour Expected Fall 2010

After a successful nine and a half month run, The Toxic Avenger, the critically-acclaimed Off-Broadway musical, will end its New York run, having played over 300 performances at New World Stages on Sunday, January 3rd, 2010, to prepare for its national tour. The Toxic Avenger had its world premiere at the George Street Playhouse in New Brunswick, New Jersey where it broke box office records before transferring Off-Broadway, beginning previews on March 18, 2009 and officially opening on April 6, 2009.

On Monday, November 30, The Fred Ebb Foundation in association with the Roundabout Theatre Company presented the fifth annual Fred Ebb Award for aspiring musical theatre songwriters to Marcy Heisler and Zina Goldrich. On Thursday, October 1st, after the 200th performance of THE TOXIC AVENGER at New World Stages, some celebrity guests who were in the house took a trip backstage to congratulate the cast and crew. Broadway couple Andy Karl and Orfeh greeted Dustin Diamond (Screech from TV's 'Saved By The Bell') and his lady friend as they all took the trip back to cheer everybody on their auspicious milestone. Producer Tom Polum was on hand to raise a glass of 'TOXIC' punch and to thank everyone on a 200 'TOX-A-RI-FIC' shows.

The Toxic Avenger - named '2009 Best New Off-Broadway Musical' by the Outer Critics Circle - marks its 200th performance tonight (Thursday, October 1st) at New World Stages (340 West 50th Street), where it has had audiences doubled over with laughter since performances began over six months ago. (Previews began on March 18th and the show officially opened on April 6th, 2009). October 1st is also the one year anniversary of its world premiere at the George Street Playhouse in New Brunswick, New Jersey, where the show became the biggest grossing musical in the theatre's 34 year history.
