On Sunday, the Broadway at Birdland concert series was proud to present songwriter Jonathan Reid Gealt, who celebrated the release of his new cd, "Whatever I Want It To Be," with a concert at the historic music room starring a bevy of Broadway stars. The Muny announced today its complete cast for Stephen Sondheim (music and lyrics) and James Lapine's (book) Into The Woods, playing July 21-27. The production will be directed by Gary Griffin, choreographed by Chris Bailey and music directed by Brad Haak.

On Wednesday, May 6th select eighth grade students at the Professional Performing Arts School (PPAS) will take part in a special song interpretation masterclass. Broadway actors Jason Gotay and Stephanie Gibson will be leading the masterclass. Six students were picked by PPAS voice teacher Brad Siebeking to work one on one with Ms. Gibson and Mr. Gotay.

At Birdland every Monday night at 9:30pm, Jim Caruso's Cast Party celebrates talent from every corner of the entertainment scene. Broadway, jazz, cabaret, pop, folk, country…over the past twelve years, the Cast Party crowds have been entertained by most every genre of music! This past week, the talent was off-the-charts. Rachel Tucker, the recent star of The Last Ship on Broadway, gained a slew of new fans with two Kander & Ebb anthems that had the crowd standing, stomping and cheering for more!

On Sunday 2nd November Natalie Weiss, Broadway Performer and Creator of 'Breaking Down The Riffs' (BDTR), will showcase her insane vocal talent in her UK solo concert debut at St James Theatre, London. Due to demand, in an addition to the 7pm performance that is now sold out, a 4pm matinee performance has been added.

Marty Thomas Presents DIVA features NYCs finest female vocalists paying tribute to the greatest icons throughout history! The show performs weekly in midtown Manhattan hotspot, Industry Bar. It has also been seen around the country, as well as on Off Broadway and Broadway stages. SING FOR HOPE, an all-star concert to raise money for David's Dream & Believe Cancer Foundation, presented by the Foundation and Cara Samantha, is set for Sunday, October 5th 2014 from 2PM to 6PM at Toshi's Living Room at The Flat Iron Hotel, 1411 Broadway, New York, NY 10001 (at 26th Street). Performers from BROADWAY, AMERICAN IDOL and more will sing to support the cause.
