Upcoming MTI Shows - 10/16 for Seoul

Composer-lyricist Michael R. Jackson returns to the Laurie Beechman Theater Sunday October 16th with a concert evening of new music entitled GOOD CLEAN MUSIC: ANOTHER MICHAEL R. JACKSON SONG THING.

The developmental concert presentation of ISLAND SONG, a new song cycle with Music and Lyrics by Sam Carner and Derek Gregor, will be presented on Sunday, October 16th at 92YTribeca (200 Hudson St, just south of Canal) at 7:00 PM. Tickets for the one-night-only event are $15.00 and are available at www.92ytribeca.org or at www.kefproductions.com.

John Bucchino's 'It's Only Life,' featuring the Australian Cast (Christian Cavallo, Phoebe Coupe, Zack Anthony Curran, Madeleine Featherby, Laura Fitzpatrick, Sam Rabbone and Cameron Thomas) with John Bucchino at the piano plays BIRDLAND on Monday, November 14 at 7pm.

La Jolla Playhouse announces its first production of the 2012/13 season: the world-premiere musical HANDS ON A HARDBODY, written by Pulitzer Prize winner and La Jolla Playhouse 2011 Gala Honoree Doug Wright (I AM MY OWN WIFE), Amanda Green (BRING IT ON: THE MUSICAL) and Trey Anastasio of the popular band Phish, with direction by Neil Pepe (SPEED-THE-PLOW) and choreography by Benjamin Millepied ('Black Swan'), running April 27 - June 10, 2012 in the Mandell Weiss Theatre.

The Broadway aimed musical adaption of the 90's cult classic Jawbreaker will receive an industry reading in Manhattan on October 13th under the direction of Gabriel Barre. With a book by Darren Stein (writer and director of the film) and a score by Jeffrey Thomson and Jordan Mann (Jonathan Larson award winners), the cast includes Diana DeGarmo (Hair, Hairspray), Joanna Glushak (Les Miserables, Urinetown), Van Hughes (American Idiot, 9 to 5, Hairspray), Tracy McDowell (Rent), Ryah Nixon, Marty Thomas (Wicked, Xanadu) and Libby Winters (American Idiot).
