El estreno del musical de Jonathan Larson 'Tick, tick... BOOM!', que llega al Off-Gran Vía de Madrid de la mano de Tela-Katola, reunió anoche a muchas caras conocidas y amigos de la profesión en el Teatro Arlequín. Borja Voces, Sara Pérez, Oscar Piñero, Juan Bey, Lidia San José, Natalia Sánchez, Maria Virumbrales, Víctor Ullate o Diana Navarro disfrutaron del espectáculo que regresaba a la escena después de su éxito en verano del año pasado en el Hall del Teatro Lara.

Anoche estuvimos en los camerinos del Teatro Arlequín con los protagonistas y el director del musical de Jonathan Larson, 'Tick, tick... BOOM!' que ayer comenzaba su nueva andadura en el Off-Gran Vía de Madrid. On February 13, New York Theatre Barn will present NYTB in the D-Lounge, a monthly concert for emerging musical theatre writers, now in its 5th year, at the Daryl Roth Theatre. The February 2012 installment of NYTB in the D-Lounge introduces to New York audiences Illinois-native, singer-songwriter Kevin Fogarty, who will present selections from his full-length musicals, and showcases Jonathan Larson Award-winner J. Oconer Navarro, who will present the world premiere of songs from two new musicals by himself and collaborators. Performers include Charlie Brady, Joaquina Kalukango, Zonya Love, and more. Executive Producers for NYTB in the D-Lounge are Laura Brandel and Jason Najjoum.

The American Theatre Wing announced today that the recipients of the 2012 Jonathan Larson® Grant are Julianne Wick Davis (Composer) and Dan Collins (Book, Lyrics) for their work on Southern Comfort. The prestigious grant, totaling $10,000, will be presented on Tuesday, March 27 at a private event in New York City. The event will feature special performances from Southern Comfort.

New York Theatre Workshop (NYTW) Artistic Director James C. Nicola and Managing Director William Russo have announced that the New York premiere of An Iliad, by Denis O'Hare and Lisa Peterson, based on Homer's Iliad translated by Robert Fagles, directed by Ms. Peterson, will open this week at NYTW, 79 East 4 Street, between Bowery and Second Avenue. Denis O'Hare and Stephen Spinella alternate performances of the play. Mr. O'Hare opens Tuesday, March 6; Mr. Spinella Wednesday, March 7.

Talk Is Free Theatre (TIFT) and Show One Productions are thrilled to announce that Dora Award winner Jeff Madden will be joining the cast as Rafe in the upcoming Toronto production of Dani Girl, by Christopher Dimond and Michael Kooman. A touching, humorous and inspiring tale, this dark, original musical comedy follows a young girl's battle with cancer. Dani Girl runs until March 4, 2012 at the Theatre Passe Muraille Backspace.

Emmy Award winner and Broadway star Neil Patrick Harris participated in an all-star event to christen the new Disney cruise ship 'Fantasy' in New York City last night. Also on hand at the event were comedian Jerry Seinfeld, New York's Mayor Michael Bloomberg and Mariah Carey, who had the honor of christening the ship . The event took place at a Hudson River pier on the west side of Manhattan.
