The Montclair Film Festival (MFF) announced today a one-night-only live event: JON STEWART IN CONVERSATION WITH STEPHEN COLBERT on Friday, December 7, 2012 (Doors: 7:00 PM, Show: 8:00 PM) at the Wellmont Theatre in downtown Montclair, NJ, with support from Audi and Investors Bank.

The New York Comedy Festival presents, in association with Vandalog.com, Little Italy, and Montana Cans, announced today the addition of "The Art of Comedy," a series of events and art installations involving New York's most talented street artists that will take place this November. "The Art of Comedy" brings together acclaimed artists Ron English, Hanksy, and Gilf! who will showcase their respective humorous works of art in an effort to bring smiles to the faces of millions of New Yorkers.

For anyone who loves Hollywood memorabilia, is an entertainment junkie, and loves to eat and cook - they will treasure Frank DeCaro's The Dead Celebrity Cookbook: A Resurrection of Recipes from More Than 145 Stars of Stage and Screen (HCI Books). Frank compiled favorite recipes from some of Hollywood's biggest names; including Lucille Ball, Elizabeth Taylor, Sonny Bono, Liberace, Michael Jackson, John Denver, Frank Sinatra, Rock Hudson, Humphrey Bogart, and Peter Falk, just to name a few.

As the nation gears up for the coming elections, Larry Wilmore heads to the most swinging of all swing states…Florida. His second SHOWTIME comedy special, titled LARRY WILMORE'S RACE, RELIGION & SEX IN FLORIDA, will premiere November 3rd at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT. The one-hour special examines this socially, ethnically, religiously and economically diverse state that, just like in 2000, could determine the outcome of the presidential election. Wilmore is intent on exploring how this unique state that produced two revered American institutions, NASCAR and Hooters, will choose the next leader of the free world.

Multi award-winning comedian, Paul Mecurio, and monthly favorite act, Dueling Pianos, will welcome in 2013 at Comix At Foxwoods with an evening of dancing, drinking and fun, lasting until 3 a.m. The New Year's Eve festivities will begin at 9 p.m., when Mecurio, will showcase his hilarious routine on the Comix stage, followed by Dueling Pianos, who will hit the stage at 10:30 p.m. New Year's Eve party favors, a champagne toast and a post-midnight dessert buffet will follow the two exceptional comedy performances. 2013 Comix Countdown tickets can be purchased in advance for $50 (general admission) or $125 (VIP admission). COMEDY CENTRAL and Jon Stewart's Busboy Productions welcomes an all-star cast for its biennial autism benefit, NIGHT OF TOO MANY STARS: AMERICA COMES TOGETHER FOR AUTISM PROGRAMS. Taping on Saturday, October 13 from the Beacon Theatre in New York City, the benefit for Autism programs, schools, and services will feature Stewart hosting an evening filled with live performances, sketches and short films from a roster of comedy all-stars. The 1st Annual Bob Stewart Tuba Competition, created by The Duke Ellington Center for the Arts, will be held today, October 20, 2012 from 12 Noon to 5 PM as part of The 37th Annual 52nd Street Duke Ellington Jazz Festival. The competition has been created to provide enhanced exposure to the many dynamic tuba players who perform in improvisational music ensembles in and around the New York area. The five groups chosen for the competition perform in a wide range of genres from traditional and contemporary Jazz to Blues, hip-hop, funk rock and world music.

Sasha Regan's acclaimed all-male UK production of The Pirates of Penzance is coming to Her Majesty's Theatre, Adelaide for two performances only at 2.00pm and 8.00pm tonight, Saturday 20 October as part of a national tour.

DAILY SHOW host Jon Stewart spoke last night about what is being called a 'debate rebound' for Barack Obama's presidential campaign on his Comedy Central show. The comedian zeroed in on Mitt Romney's assertion that the current administration did not call last month's Benghazi attack on U.S. diplomats "an act of terror" until nearly two weeks after it occured.
