New York's renowned musical organization, The Mabel Mercer Foundation, returns to the Midwest for the first time since 2006 to present its fourth "Chicago Cabaret Convention."

The Berman Center for the Performing Arts is pleased to present the JCC Ethan & Gretchen Davidson Music Festival - a fresh new take on arts and music festivals. In 1981, more than 500,000 music fans gathered in Central Park to witness a concert by the now legendary reunion of folk duo Simon & Garfunkel. On Friday, March 31, award-winning recording artists, Lee Lessack and Johnny Rodgers recreate that magical night in Wilson Theater at Vogel Hall as part of the MC Presents series.

Nonstop musical entertainment by many of Chicago's finest cabaret performers will make 'Sentimental Journeys...Musical Tours of the Heart' an unforgettable evening.

The reputable Duncan Theatre has announced their 2016/17season with prominent artists MOMIX, tribute artists such as Stayin' Alive to the extraordinary Drumline LIVE, the mesmerizing Pants Down Circus: Rock and the underwear performing Skivvies and many more! The intimate Duncan Theatre with the 700 seat and 122 seat Stage West Theatre performing arts venues will be exploding with dance, concerts, family shows, classical music as well as a spectacular cinema live stage show on the Lake Worth campus of Palm Beach State College.

Bethel Woods Center for the Arts continues to grow and diversify programming held in its most intimate venue – the indoor Event Gallery. This fall, The Event Gallery Concert Series will present John Waite and the Axeman with special guest Leslie Dinicola on September 24; Blues Festival at Bethel Woods on October 29; and the Drifters on November 5. Plus, the beloved Bradstan Cabaret Series returns with three unique performances featuring Lee Lessack & Johnny Rodgers on September 17, Jarrod Spector & Kelli Barrett on October 15, and Liz Callaway on November 19.

On April 18, 2016 the John W. Engeman Theater will present Simon & Garfunkel: Live in Central Park [Revisited].

The recipient of Chicago Cabaret Professional Gold Coast Award and winner of the After Dark Award for 'Outstanding Cabaret Performer,' Tomasello returns to the Skokie Theatre tonight, December 18, at 8pm to celebrate the centennial of Frank Sinatra in It Was A Very Good Year.

Heralded as "The Cabaret Queen of Chicago," by both the Chicago Tribune and Chicago Sun-Times, the legendary Denise Tomasello, will be making two very special guest performances this month in the Chicago area. These mark her first concert appearances since her triumphant SRO concerts at Chicago's Auditorium Theatre and The Metropolis Performing Arts Center.

There always seems to be so much to do in Nashville, from a creative and theatrical standpoint, we're often asked for recommendations of what's not to be missed on our calendar. Well, have no fear, gentle readers, we're at your service, at the ready to tell you of the shows you really should see this week and in the coming weeks…

Of course, Nashville's Iroquois Steeplechase is Saturday (and despite weather forecasts to the contrary, chances are that means it's going to be raining), so when it comes time to dry off, we suggest you head to the theater, where there's all sorts of good stuff onstage.

Just in time for Mother's Day, Fabisch and her Faby Baby Productions LLC bring their rollicking – and oh-so-entertaining – revue, Motherhood the Musical, to TPAC's Andrew Johnson Theatre. Featuring dynamic direction by Kim Nygren and starring a quartet of winning singer/actresses, it's a superbly performed and staged show that pulls back the curtain on what moms talk about when the husbands, kids and in-laws (and gay BFFs) are away. It's heartwarming, laugh-out-loud funny and oftentimes remarkably sentimental without being mawkish or maudlin.

Today, the spotlight shines on Jennifer Whitcomb-Oliva, Sue Fabisch, Jaclyn Lisenby Brown and Corrie Miller, the cast of director Kim Nygren's ensemble for Motherhood the Musical, opening tonight at TPAC's Andrew Johnson Theatre. Fabisch created the show, so let's hope she's happy with the way things are going…
