FilmBuff has released their September lineup of films heading to VOD - check it out below! As always there is something to fit every taste: the global impact of China's unquenching thirst for fine wines; a hilarious team of Muslim comedians touring the US, cracking jokes and ending Islamophobia one town at a time; a chronicle of eccentric adult “My Little Pony” fans; and the love of repertory cinema all take center stage in this month's lineup.

The current production, directed by Dan Dunn, is easily the playhouse's best show this season.

The acclaimed show Peace Train - The Cat Stevens Story, celebrating one of the greatest songwriters of all time, Cat Stevens, returns to Adelaide for one performance only at the Festival Theatre on Saturday 9 November at 8.00 pm. Tickets for Peace Train go on sale through all Bass outlets and online at www.bass.net.au from Monday 26 August.

Today in 2002, Hairspray opened at the Neil Simon Theatre, where it ran for 2642 performances. Hairspray is a musical with music by Marc Shaiman, lyrics by Scott Wittman and Shaiman and a book by Mark O'Donnell and Thomas Meehan, based on the 1988 John Waters film Hairspray. In 1962 Baltimore, Maryland, plump teenager Tracy Turnblad's dream is to dance on The Corny Collins Show, a local TV dance program. When Tracy wins a role on the show, she becomes a celebrity overnight. She then launches a campaign to integrate the show. Hairspray is a social commentary on the injustices of parts of American society in the 1960s.

Justin VivIan Bond (Shortbus) headline the third annual 'Out in the Woods' Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender (LGBT) music festival at Easton Mountain Retreat Center in the beautiful rolling hills of upstate New York today, August 10th.

EMMY Award-Winner Bruce Vilanch stars in RUBBLE, a new comedy by EMMY Award-Winning 'The Simpsons' writer, Mike Reiss. Broadway veteran and 'The Sopranos' star Jerry Adler also joins him in the show. RUBBLE is directed by James Valletti, and runs for five performances at The Players Theater, beginning today, August 10th and continuing on the 14th, 22nd, 24th, and 25th.

'It may be disappointing to some, but despite the title there is no gore in The Mutilated,' says David Kaplan, curator of the Tennessee Williams Theater Festival. 'Instead we have broad humor, cryptic Christmas Carols, and touching characters seeking redemption in all the wrong places. Altogether a really good time at the theater."
