Four designers were successful in formulating their brand and America's top three retailers: Macy's, H&M and Saks Fifth Avenue purchased four of the most comprehensive designs.

Last night on NBC's FASHION STAR, the remaining designers were paired off with celebrity mentors Jessica Simpson, Nicole Richie and John Varvatos who then chose what each of them would construct for the week. Four designers were successful in creating garments that America's top three retailers: Macy's, H&M and Saks Fifth Avenue were interested in purchasing.

Last night on NBC's FASHION STAR, the remaining designers were challenged to expand their brands by creating clothes outside of their comfort zones. Five of the designers' garments were successful in pushing the boundaries and were purchased by three of America's top retailers: Macy's, H&M and Saks Fifth Avenue.

Macy's spokesperson Holly Thomas commented, 'Sales of Fashion Star merchandise exceeded expectations.'

E! Entertainment will be the primary cable home to NBC's new series FASHION STAR airing weekly encore performances on Friday nights throughout the season. 'Fashion Star's' special 90-minute premiere episode, which airs March 13 on NBC, will debut on E! on Friday, March 16 at 8:30pm ET/PT
