Pittsburgh Public Theater is set to present the Pittsburgh premiere of Freud's Last Session, Mark St. Germain's new play about an imagined meeting between outspoken atheist Sigmund Freud (David Wohl) and Christian writer C.S. Lewis (Jonathan Crombie). Freud's Last Session won the 2011 Off-Broadway Alliance Award for Best Play.

Internationally famous for their fantastical, imaginative circus shows, the Montréal-based troupe's brand of whimsy and jaw-dropping acts are in full display in QUIDAM, one of several Cirque du Soleil shows now touring the globe. First produced in 1996, QUIDAM's Southern California stops continue at the Long Beach Arena Convention & Entertainment Center through April 22 before swinging up to Ontario, CA to play the Citizens Bank Arena from April 27 through May 1.

While you were watching Live to Dance, So You Think You Can Dance or any of the innocuous Dance shows on television today, you missed the real thing in your own backyard. Gotham Arts Exchange presented their Emerging Artists Showcase at the Dance Theater Workshop January 5th through the 6th. The evening consisted of a shared showcase of developing choreographers presenting their new compositions. Featuring the works of New York's own Adam Barruch as well as John Mark Owen and Jessica Gaynor, the Emerging Artists Showcase ranged from modern dance accompanied by synth beats to classic ballet performed to sacred motets.
