Laura Linney (The Big C, The Savages) and Seth Numrich (AMC's TURN, Broadway: War Horse) will perform in the Geffen Playhouse production of Switzerland by Joanna Murray-Smith (The Female of the Species, The Gift). This co-world premiere with Sydney Theatre Company will be directed by Mark Brokaw (Broadway: Rodgers & Hammerstein's Cinderella, The Lyons) in the Audrey Skirball Kenis Theater at the Geffen Playhouse now through April 19, 2015. Opening night is tonight, March 13.

THE LAST SHIP played its final performance on Broadway on Saturday, January 24, but fans still have another chance to catch the cast in action. Tonight, March 2 (9:30PM), they will reunite at 54 Below for 'Songs in the Quay of Life: THE LAST SHIP Company in Concert.' The original cast and band will celebrate their run with an eclectic evening themed around seafaring songs. Proceeds will go to support Wallsend Boys Club in the north of England, which was founded by shipbuilders.

Cast Members from the Broadway musical IF/THEN will perform the songs of the Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award winning writing team of Tom Kitt and Brian Yorkey on Monday, March 2 at 54 Below (254 West 54th street). There will be two performances - 7:00pm (sold out) and a special added 11:30pm (tickets available). The one-night only concerts were originally scheduled for Monday, January 26th, but were re-scheduled due to winter storm Juno.

Eddie Redmayne is having a very good year. The 33-year old actor is nominated for Best Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role for playing physicist Stephen Hawking in THE THEORY OF EVERYTHING. In the film, Redmayne has been singled out for his sensitive portrayal of Hawking that goes from his younger days through the onslaught of the progressive motor neuron disease that binds him to a wheelchair.

On December 9, 2014, Sting, who composed The Last Ship's score, joined the cast in the role of Jackie White, the foreman of the shipyard who rallies his community to build one last ship meant to sail the world. Artistic Director Chay Yew and Managing Director Chris Mannelli announce a change to the 2014-2015 season: The World Premiere of An Issue of Blood by Marcus Gardley, directed by Chay Yew, will replace the previously announced World Premiere of A Wonder In My Soul. An Issue of Blood was penned by Gardley in response to recent events and social injustices. An Issue of Blood runs April 3 - May 3, 2015 with the press performance on Friday, April 10, 2015, at Victory Gardens Theater, 2433 N. Lincoln Avenue.
