HERE's Interstellar Gala, honoring Anita Contini and CJ Follini, takes place tonight, Monday, June 16. Proceeds support HERE, the award-winning producer and presenter of contemporary hybrid work for more than 20 years, renowned for the HERE Artist Residency Program, the Dream Music Puppetry Program, and the PROTOTYPE festival. The evening kicks off with a Cosmic Feast at City Winery (155 Varick Street) featuring VIP Cocktail Reception, Dinner, Performances, Live & Silent Auctions, followed by The Big Bang party at HERE (145 Sixth Avenue), featuring Cocktails, Hors d'Oeuvres, Silent Auction, Performances, Dancing. The Jeff Awards Committee today announced 128 nominations in 24 categories of Non-Equity Jeff Awards for productions that opened between April 1, 2013, and March 31, 2014. The Non-Equity Awards honor excellence in Chicago theatres not under a union contract. Jeff judges attended opening nights of 147 productions offered by 65 Non-Equity producing organizations. The judges recommended 66 of those shows, making them eligible for Non-Equity Jeff Award nominations. Thirty theatre companies received nominations.

TRANS Formative - Songs That Propel Us: A Benefit for New York Voices, Joe's Pub's artist commissioning program, and the Ali Forney Center. An extravaganza featuring stars of the downtown scene will play at Joe's Pub at The Public, 425 Lafayette Street, on April 28. Show time is 9:30pm.
