Broadway's hottest comedy, the Tony Award-winning Best Play, GOD OF CARNAGE welcomes Emmy Award-winner Christine Lahti ('Chicago Hope') as ‘Veronica,' Emmy and Golden Globe-nominee Annie Potts ('Designing Women') as ‘Annette,' Emmy and Golden Globe-winner Jimmy Smits ('The West Wing') as ‘Alan,' and Olivier Award-nominee Ken Stott (original cast member of West End productions of God of Carnage and Art) as ‘Michael' to the cast on Tuesday, November 17. Academy and Tony Award-winning actor and photographer Joel Grey returns to television in a new episode of ABC's 'Grey's Anatomy.' Grey, whose recent TV credits include critically acclaimed appearances on 'Private Practice,' 'Brothers & Sisters' and 'House,' will guest star in the November 12, 2009 episode titled 'New History' as Izzie Steven's (Katherine Heigl) high school mentor suffering from dementia.

On November 9, Primary Stages will host 'Leading Ladies,' the organization's 25th Anniversary Benefit Gala, honoring influential women who have contributed to the theater's work over the past 25 years. The event will take place at the Grand Hyatt New York and begins at 6:30pm.

The Cathedral of St. John the Divine, in association with the Provincetown Tennessee Williams Theater Festival, is pleased to present an evening of poetry, theater and reminiscences in honor of the induction of Tennessee Williams into the Cathedral's Poets' Corner. On Thursday, November 5th at 7:00pm, theatre luminaries, friends of Mr. Williams and people who were inspired by his life work, will take part in the historic celebration. Participants include Eli Wallach & Anne Jackson, Vanessa Redgrave, Marian Seldes, John Guare, Olympia Dukakis, John Patrick Shanley, Gregory Mosher, Sylvia Miles, William Jay Smith, Lenya Rideout, Jeremy Lawrence, Wyatt Prunty, David Kaplan, Thomas Keith, Mitch Douglas, and current Cathedral Poet-in-Residence Charles F. Martin. It is expected that additional friends and colleagues of Mr. Williams will also be taking part in the evening.

The Public Theater (Artistic Director Oskar Eustis; Executive Director Andrew D. Hamingson) announced that the 2010 Shakespeare in the Park summer season will present two Shakespeare plays in repertory giving audiences eight straight weeks of free Shakespeare. Under directors Daniel Sullivan and Michael Greif, the same company of actors will perform in both THE WINTER'S TALE and THE MERCHANT OF VENICE on rotating nights.

The Harold and Mimi Steinberg Charitable Trust presented the 2nd Annual ‘Mimi' Awards in a ceremony on Monday, October 26th, at Lincoln Center Theater's Vivian Beaumont Theater.

The Harold and Mimi Steinberg Charitable Trust has granted The Eugene O'Neill Theater Center $40,000 to go toward the development of new plays at its 2010 and 2011 National Playwrights Conferences that take place every summer in at the theater in Waterford, Connecticut.
