The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey announced today it was extending the run of its critically acclaimed comedy Tovarich through September 1st. Added performances of this long-forgotten treasure, by French playwright Jacques Deval and adapted by the American author Robert E. Sherwood, are Thursday, Friday and Saturday, August 29th, 30th and 31st at 8 p.m.; and Saturday August 31st and Sunday, September 1st at 2 p.m.

Boomerang Theatre Company, currently celebrating its 15th Anniversary, will present three shows in repertory - a world premiere, a classic and a New York premiere - from September 14 through October 13 at Theatre Lab (357 West 36th Street, 3rd Floor) in Manhattan.

TRUE BLOOD's Sam Trammel has joined the cast of the big-screen adaptation of John Green's bestselling novel THE FAULT IN OUR STARS, according to The Wrap.

MadLab will present The Young Writers Short Play Festival, a collection of nine short plays written by Columbus area high school students. This year features plays from all women playwrights. MadLab is a non-profit organization that provides an artistic haven for the creation and experience of original works. Part of that effort involves giving young people the opportunity to create original works.

DoubleTree by Hilton and Hilton Worldwide today announced the opening of the new DoubleTree by Hilton Campbell - Pruneyard Plaza, following comprehensive hotel upgrades. Formerly an independent boutique hotel, the property located at 1995 S. Bascom Avenue in Campbell, Calif., becomes the newest addition to the DoubleTree by Hilton portfolio, which boasts more than 340 hotels worldwide. DoubleTree by Hilton and Shamin Hotels Inc. today announced the opening of DoubleTree by Hilton Richmond - Midlothian, a contemporary hotel situated just a short drive from downtown Richmond.
