The Patricia & Phillip Frost Art Museum FIU celebrates the art of Mexican photography this summer with two exhibitions: Becoming Mexico: The Photographs of Manuel Carrilloand Possible Worlds: Photography and Fiction in Mexican Contemporary Art. The opening reception is free, open to the public on Saturday, July 8, 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. (directions to Florida International University).

Announcing Baryshnikov Arts Center's Fall 2017 Season

Baryshnikov Arts Center (BAC) announces the Fall 2017 performance and residency series, which runs September 21 through December 15 and features an exciting lineup of international artists and cross-border collaborations. Lincoln Center's Mostly Mozart Festival 2017 Announces Opening Lineup

Lincoln Center's Mostly Mozart Festival , one of New York's premier summer performance series, kicks off its 51st season on July 25. Among the highlights in the first two weeks are a special opening concert led by Louis Langrée, Renée and Robert Belfer Music Director, featuring traditional and indigenous songs from Mozart's time; a choral presentation by Les Arts Florissants; and guest conductors Edward Gardner and Gianandrea Noseda; festival debuts by more than 10 artists, including Kit Armstrong, Janai Brugger, Jennifer Johnson Cano, S? Percussion, Beatrice Rana, Ksenija Sidorova, and the Young People's Chorus of New York City; and the New York premiere of David Lang's concerto for percussion, man made. RITE OF SUMMER Music Festival 2017 on Governors Island Announced

Blair McMillen and Pam Goldberg are thrilled to present the seventh season of the Rite of Summer Music Festival, taking place Summer 2017 on Governors Island, New York City. Rite of Summer will present free outdoor concerts Memorial Day weekend through August.  In a locale The New York Times has called a "Playground for the Arts," the aim of the Festival is simple: to present the highest quality live performances, and to bring free contemporary classical music to as many people as possible in a relaxed, fun, outdoor setting.

Miro Magloire Premieres New Chamber Ballet, 6/10 & 11

Choreographer Miro Magloire's New Chamber Ballet will bring its 2016-17 series to an end with performances June 10 at 8 PM and June 11 at 7 PM, and a Magloire premiere to John Cage's 'Cheap Imitation' for violin.   The Company welcomes dancer Kristine Butler, who previously danced with the Charlotte Ballet II, Romanian National Ballet, and San Francisco Ballet.
