MEMPHIS, the 2010 Tony Award winner for Best Musical will be presented by the Ordway Center for the Performing Arts for two weeks, March 13-25, as part of the Ordway's 2011-2012 Theater Season.

Hockadoo! The 2010 Tony Award winning Best Musical MEMPHIS announced today that it will celebrate 1,000 performances on Broadway on Wednesday, March 14th at the 2pm matinee performance. MEMPHIS also just announced that stars Montego Glover and Adam Pascal will continue in their respective roles as "Felicia Farrell" and "Huey Calhoun" through October 2012.

Last week, Segerstrom Center for the Arts (formerly the Orange County Performing Arts Center) announced its brand new Broadway Series for the 2012 - 2013 Season. 5th Avenue Theatre Executive Producer and Artistic Director David Armstrong yesterday announced the seven productions making up the celebrated Seattle musical theater's 2012-13 season. The program features a mix of contemporary musicals and timeless classics, plus Seattle's first peek at some of Broadway's greatest new hits.

The producers of the new Broadway musical comedy NICE WORK IF YOU CAN GET IT hosted a "'S Wonderful" box office on yesterday, March 1st at the Imperial Theatre. From 10 a.m. to noon, NICE WORK IF YOU CAN GET IT fans had the chance to win tickets to preview performances, gift certificates, signed items, and other treats through surprise giveaways and by answering trivia questions about the show's stars and songs.

Original Broadway cast member J. Bernard Calloway will return to the company as 'Delray,' following his performance in the critically acclaimed Jitney at the Two River Theater Company. Calloway will resume performances on Tuesday, February 28th. Christopher Jackson played his final performance on Sunday, February 26th.

The scenic and historic town of Ft. Atkinson, Wisconsin, is about a two hour drive from Chicago's northwest suburbs. I'm glad to report that this tiny farm and tourist town is now the unlikely home of TWO Equity dinner theaters, as the Central Coast Restaurant has entered the market with Theater at the Central Coast.
