The Playwrights Realm - currently in its 3rd season - presents the World Premiere of DREAMS OF THE WASHER KING - a new play by Christopher Wall and directed by Giovanna Sardelli. The New School for Drama has announced that the award-winning director Joe Mantello will be the distinguished artist-in-residence for the 2010-2011 academic year. Mantello's directing credits include the wildly popular Wicked, as well as Assassins and Take Me Out, each of which earned him a Tony Award for directing.

Producer Daryl Roth has announced that Obie, Helen Hayes and GLAAD award-winner Marc Wolf will perform his solo show Another American: Asking and Telling at the DR2 Theatre (103 E. 15th Street, NYC).

Old Globe Executive Producer Lou Spisto today announced the cast and creative team for the West Coast Premiere of Matthew Lopez's The Whipping Man. The Civil War drama is directed by Giovanna Sardelli and will run in the Sheryl and Harvey White Theatre through June 13.
