FSPA Students to dance CINDERELLA SUITE With Symphony Pro Musica, 1/26

Franklin School for the Performing Arts (FSPA) collaborates with Symphony Pro Musica in a concert performance of Prokofiev's Cinderella Suite. The ballet excerpt, choreographed by Clyde Nantais, is part of Symphony Pro Musica's "Musical Matinee: A Family Concert." Performances are at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, January 26 at Hudson High School and on Sunday, January 27 at Westborough High School. Under the direction of founder and Music Director Mark Churchill, the premier MetroWest community symphony orchestra will present a family-friendly program that also includes Poulenc's The Story of Babar with narration and Saint-Saen's The Elephant and Fossils with student musicians from Hudson and Westborough.

Franklin Performing Arts Company Announces Cast for THE NUTCRACKER, 12/8-9

The Franklin Performing Arts Company (FPAC) announces casting for the 2012 holiday production of Tchaikovsky's The Nutcracker. More than 100 young dancers from 25 area towns will perform in the production. Performances will take place on Saturday, December 8, at 7:30 p.m. and on Sunday, December 9, at 2:00 p.m. at the Thomas D. Mercer Auditorium, 224 Oak Street, in Franklin. Erica Cornejo, Boston Ballet principal dancer, and Carlos Molina, former American Ballet Theatre soloist and Boston Ballet principal, will dance the roles of the Sugar Plum Fairy and her Cavalier. The Franklin School for the Performing Arts (FSPA) introduces new dance classes for the 2012-2013 school year. Instruction will be offered in Franklin and at the school's new satellite facility in downtown Hudson. Entering its 28th year, FSPA offers a broad range of programming in music, dance and drama, with extensive performing opportunities through the school and the affiliated Franklin Performing Arts Company (FPAC).
