Opera Australia has announced a further round of cancellations due to the ongoing coronavirus restrictions that will bring the total number of performances either cancelled or postponed in 2020 to more than 570 across the country. 

The Met has announced the Week 9 schedule for its Nightly Met Opera Streams, a free series of encore Live in HD presentations streamed on the company website during the coronavirus closure.

Opera Australia is launching a new online streaming service, OA | TV: Opera Australia on Demand.

On 18 March the Prime Minister announced a ban on non-essential gatherings of more than 100 people, effective immediately and in NSW the ban is in force until midnight on 16 June 2020. The immediate effect of this ban is a closure of The Joan's three theatres.
