Disney's landmark musical event, THE LION KING, will play its 7,000th Broadway performance at 7:00pm on Wednesday, September 3rd. Only three shows in Broadway history have reached this milestone.

Subtle and, at times, molasses-slow in execution---yet ultimately powerful in impact---ONCE is a beautifully-staged, soul-searing musical that interchanges romantic entanglement for creative fulfillment---and how the line that separates these emotions are often blurred. The eight-time Tony award-winning musical---featuring a book by Enda Walsh and music and lyrics by Glen Hansard and Marketa Irglova---continues performances in Costa Mesa through August 31.

Producers Kevin McCollum, Doug Morris and Berry Gordy, and Des Moines Performing Arts, have announced that MOTOWN THE MUSICAL will play at the Des Moines Civic Center, Tuesday, Dec. 2 through Sunday, Dec. 7, 2014. MOTOWN THE MUSICAL is part of the 2014-2015 Willis Broadway Series.

Group sales preorder information is now available for the summer 2016 Broadway return engagement of Motown the Musical, which will continue at The Lunt Fontanne Theatre (205 West 46th Street) on Broadway through January 18, 2015.

Roundabout Theatre Company has announced that celebrated make-up designer Angelina Avallone and the Kit Kat Girls from CABARET will give a FREE make-up demonstration at MAC Cosmetics Times Square (1540 Broadway) on Thursday, August 28 at 3pm. MAC is the Official Makeup partner of CABARET. Guests will learn from Avallone how to recreate the bold signature look of 1920s Berlin she designed for the hit Broadway revival. The demonstration will be followed-up by a live performance by the Kit Kat Girls.

Hodges and Hodges were practically giddy with anticipation and almost drooling at the thought of seeing Michael Urie in his one-person show Buyer & Cellar, which is all about the amazing, magnificent, brilliant (and sometimes a teeny-tiny bit OCD) Barbra Streisand.

Hodges & Hodges grooved their way down to the Orpheum Theatre to dance the night away at MOTOWN the Musical! The hit record company defined the sound of the sixties and seventies, breaking down racial barriers with a signature soul/pop sound that cut across the black/white divide at a time when segregation was still the law of the land. Diana Ross, Smokey Robinson, Marvin Gaye, The Jackson 5, Stevie Wonder and the Temptations were just a few of the artists that made up the hit parade at Motown.

THE LION KING Broadway cast member ALTON FITZGERALD WHITE will play his 4,000th performance as Mufasa in the landmark musical event this Saturday evening, August 23rd, 2014. White originated the role of Mufasa in the US touring production in 2002 and in a sit-down Las Vegas production in 2009, in addition to leading the flagship Broadway company intermittently since.

Tony nominee Andrew Rannells takes over the title role in the Tony Award-winning revival ofHedwig and the Angry Inch tonight, August 20, 2014. Tony Award winner Neil Patrick Harrisplayed his final performance last Sunday, August 17. Rannells joins Tony Award winner Lena Hall as 'Yitzhak'. Signature Theatre presents The Wayside Motor Inn by A.R. Gurney, directed by Lila Neugebauer. The production plays through Sunday, September 28, 2014, ahead of an official opening on Thursday, September 4 in The Alice Griffin Jewel Box Theatre at The Pershing Square Signature Center (480 West 42nd Street between 9th and 10th Avenues). Limited $25 subsidized tickets remain for the production's initial run. Tickets during the extension week start at $55 each.
