TROIKA Entertainment, LLC will launch the U.S. National Tour of ANNIE on September 26, 2014 at the Fisher Theatre in Detroit, MI. Directed by original lyricist and director Martin Charnin for the 19th time, this production of ANNIE will be a brand new physical incarnation of the iconic Tony Award®-winning original. Elizabeth Reaser, Gia Crovatin, Golden Globe nominee Callie Thorne, and Frederick Weller star in the world premiere of MCC Playwright-in-Residence Neil LaBute's new play, The Money Shot, directed by Terry Kinney. Performances for The Money Shot are currently underway at the Lucille Lortel Theatre (121 Christopher Street, NYC) . Yesterday, producers Paul Blake and Sony/ATV Music Publishing announced that this year's Broadway hit BEAUTIFUL: THE CAROLE KING MUSICAL will be transferring to the West End's Aldwych Theatre. According to Daily Mail, the producers further announced that the West End production would feature an all-British cast.

Producers Paul Blake and Sony/ATV Music Publishing announced today that the Tony Award-winning hit BEAUTIFUL-The Carole King Musical, about the early life and career of the legendary and groundbreaking singer/songwriter, will make its L.A. Premiere at the Hollywood Pantages as part of the 2015-2016 Season. This announcement comes four weeks prior to the start of the Hollywood Pantages' already announced 2014-2015 Season.

One can't help but leave the Ed Mirvish Theatre on a high after a performance of 'Wicked,' a musical now in its 11th year on Broadway. The Wizard sings a tune in the show which begins with 'I am a sentimental man,' and as I watched him call the guards just before Elphaba (the Wicked Witch) takes flight at the close of the first act - I realized that this lyric perfectly summed up my thoughts on the production I was seeing tonight.

Producers Paul Blake and Sony/ATV Music Publishing announced today that the Tony Award-winning hit Beautiful-The Carole King Musical, about the early life and career of the legendary and groundbreaking singer/songwriter, will expand across America and the world in 2015. The West End production of Beautiful will begin previews on February 10, 2015 in the West End at London's Aldwych Theatre, with an official opening night set for February 25, 2015. The First American National Tour of Beautiful will launch in September 2015, beginning at the Providence Performing Arts Center (PPAC) in Providence, Rhode Island (September 15-20, 2015); a 12-week limited engagement at the Oriental Theatre in Chicago, IL (December 1, 2015 - February 21, 2016); and will play the Hollywood Pantages in Los Angeles, CA; DPAC, Durham Performing Arts Center in Durham, NC in October 2015; and Blumenthal Performing Arts Center in Charlotte, NC, among other cities across the country.

Signature Theatre presents The Wayside Motor Inn by A.R. Gurney, directed by Lila Neugebauer. The production will now play through Sunday, September 28, 2014. The Wayside Motor Inn began performances on August 12 and opens tonight, September 4, in The Alice Griffin Jewel Box Theatre at The Pershing Square Signature Center (480 West 42nd Street between 9th and 10th Avenues).

Glinda and Elphaba have flown into San Jose to appear in Wicked and have broken box office records at San Jose's Center for the Performing Arts, grossing $1,516,245 during the first week of its three-week engagement. The two witches will be in town (along with a phenomenal cast) through September 14 only so get your tickets now before somebody drops a house on you. NETworks Presentations, LLC, Warner Bros. Theatre Ventures and Unique Features are thrilled to present two tours of the Broadway musical, ELF, during the 2014 holiday season. This holiday season marks the fourth year that ELF has entertained audiences around the nation since its 2010 Broadway debut. Playing the title role of 'Buddy' are Daniel Patrick Smith (Buddy Tour) and Eric Williams (Jovie Tour).

Disney's landmark musical event, THE LION KING, will play its 7,000th Broadway performance at 7:00pm tonight, September 3rd. Only three shows in Broadway history have reached this milestone.

BOOTYCANDY, a new play written and directed by Robert O'Hara, is being presented in its New York premiere at Playwrights Horizons' Mainstage Theater (416 West 42nd Street) as the opening production of the company's 2014/2015 Season. Matthew James Thomas, who originated the role of Pippin in the current 2013 Tony Award winning revival, will perform the title role when the show launches its tour in Denver, and he will also play the role in the entire run in San Francisco at the SHN Golden Gate Theatre (September 23 through October 19, 2014) and in Los Angeles at Hollywood Pantages (October 21 through November 9, 2014). Kyle Selig will be taking a medical leave of absence for vocal rest from the Pippin tour. It remains unknown whether Thomas will continue throughout the rest of the tour.
