HERE proudly presents Chiflon, El Silencio del Carbon, by renowned Chilean company Silencio Blanco, a presentation from HERE's Dream Music Puppetry Program.  This production plays three performances only, February 24 - 26, 2017 at HERE (145 Sixth Avenue, just below Spring Street).  This presentation at HERE arrives as part of a U.S. tour, with dates and venues as follows: MCA, Chicago, IL (January 15-24); FUNDarte, Miami, FL (January 25-29); University of Maryland/The Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center, College Park, MD (January 30-February 5); Raritan Valley Community College/The Theatre, Branchburg, NJ (February 6-12); Bucknell University/Weis Center for the Performing Arts, Lewisburg, PA (February 13-19); HERE, New York, NY (February 24-26); UCLA/Center for the Art of Performance, Los Angeles, CA (February 27-March 5); Boom Arts, Portland, OR (March 6-9).

New York Live Arts presents the world premiere of choreographer Andrea Kleine's latest dance project, My Dinner with Andrea: the piece formerly known as Torture Playlist, which takes its cue from the 1981 Wallace Shawn and Andre Gregory movie, My Dinner With Andre. Richard Move/MoveOpolis! returns to New York Live Arts as the opening performance of Live Ideas 2017 with the world premiere of XXYY, a multilayered work conceived and directed by Move, with costumes by acclaimed theater artist Alba Clemente and an original score by Italian electronic music pioneer Martux_m. The program will also feature Martha@... 20, a special performance marking the 20th anniversary of Move's highly acclaimed performances as Martha Graham in the Martha@... series. Performances are Wednesday, March 8, to Saturday, March 11, at 7:30pm, at New York Live Arts, 219 West 19th Street (between 7th and 8th Avenues), in Manhattan.

New York Live Arts presents Sonya Tayeh, Obie and Lucille Lortel award winner and Drama Desk and two-time Emmy award nominated choreographer, in her New York City debut of an evening-length original work, you'll still call me by name, an emotionally charged dance-symphony that explores a mystifying, complex and jagged relationship between a mother and daughter. A Letter to My Nephew, MacArthur Genius Award and National Medal of Arts choreographer Bill T. Jones's latest work, makes its U.S. premiere at the Institute of Contemporary Arts (ICA) Boston. Performances are Friday, November 11, 8 PM; Saturday, November 12, 8 PM; Sunday, November 13, 2 PM at the Institute of Contemporary Art, 25 Harbor Shore Drive, Boston, MA. Westport Country Playhouse will present a community engagement initiative, "Money, Power, and Belief:  Reflections on 'The Invisible Hand'," July 17 through August 8. The series of events, free-of-charge and open to the public, will run concurrently with the Playhouse's production of the topical thriller, "The Invisible Hand," written by Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Ayad Akhtar, and directed by David Kennedy, Playhouse associate artistic director.

HERE's Dream Music Puppetry Program proudly presents March of the Puppets, taking place March 11 - 19.  March of the Puppets features three unique events: "Puppet Parlor 2016" (March 11 & 12), "The Joshua Show" (March 13) and "Steve of Tomorrow" (March 16 - 19).  Performances, detailed below, take place in the Dorothy B. Williams Theater at HERE (145 Sixth Avenue).            

HERE begins its 2015-2016 Producing Season with Genet Porno, by HERE Resident Artist Yvan Greenberg / Laboratory Theater.  This production, developed through the HERE Artist Residency Program (HARP), marks a premiere.  Genet Porno plays a limited engagement September 9 - 26 at HERE (145 Sixth Avenue, just below Spring Street).

The Bill T. Jones/Arnie Zane Dance Company, New York Live Arts' Resident Dance Company, today announced the launch of a new partnership with Loyola Marymount University (LMU). The partnership with the Los Angeles based university marks the first of its kind, adding to the Company's existing collegiate education programs. Spanning a total of four years, the partnership will bring the Company's works and their pedagogical and performative philosophy to LMU's campus and the Los Angeles area.

New York Live Arts today announced further programming details for the suite of all-new world premiere works created by 2012-2014 Resident Commissioned Artist(RCA) Kyle Abraham, including a fourth, previously unannounced ensemble work. Known for creating “voluptuous movement phrases with touches of dance-theater” (The New York Times) Abraham and his company, Abraham.In.Motion, will present four works-one evening-length, two ensemble works and one trio-over two programs titled The Watershed and When the Wolves Came In at New York Live Arts from September 23 through 27 and September 30 through October 4, 2014. Exploring two totemic triumphs in the international history of the civil rights, the 150 year anniversary of the Emancipation Proclamation and the 20 year anniversary of the abolishment of apartheid in South Africa, the works feature visual design by acclaimed conceptual artist Glenn Ligon and original music performed live by world renowned jazz artist Robert Glasper, accompanied by two musicians and a vocalist.

The Bill T. Jones/Arnie Zane Dance Company, New York Live Arts' Resident Dance Company, announced today the touring programs and productions for the 2014-2015 Season. The Company will perform and conduct residencies in more than 11 cities in eight states over the next 12 months, making their debut at a number of venues across the U.S. Highlights of the 2014-2015 Season include the New York City premiere of Story/Time (35, 36, 37 & 38) November 4 - 8 and 11 - 15 on the Company's home stage at the New York Live Arts theater; the world premiere of Analogy (working title) in June 2015 at Montclair State University; the Company debut at Dancers' Workshop in Jackson Hole, Wyoming; and more. Touring programs for the 2014-2015 season include Analogy (working title), the Company's newest work; Story/Time; Play and Play: An Evening of Movement and Music; Body Against Body; and A Rite.

Tonight, June 21st, Ten Chimneys Foundation will welcome renowned Broadway director Mr. Jack O'Brien for a very special Conversation at Ten Chimneys. Mr. O'Brien will delight the audience with stories about his prolific life in the theatre. Mr. O'Brien's work can be seen in The Public Theater's Shakespeare in the Park production of Much Ado About Nothing, which runs June 3rd through July 6th in Central Park. Just announced, he will be directing Matthew Broderick and Nathan Lane in a new version of Terrence McNally's It's Only A Play, opening on Broadway in September, 2014.
