The Perry-Mansfield New Works Festival (perry-mansfield.org/events/3/new-works-festival) now in its 18th year, brings performing arts professionals together in the Rocky Mountains to continue Perry-Mansfield's founding principle of nurturing new talent through new work. Public Theater Artistic Director Oskar Eustis, Executive Director Patrick Willingham, and Chair of the Board Arielle Tepper Madover proudly announce the addition of five new members to The Public's Board of Trustees since December 2013. The newly elected trustees of diverse backgrounds, skill sets, and interests are Ashley Leeds, Julio Peterson, Lisa Garcia Quiroz, Teresa Tsai, and Timothy A. Wilkins. The new trustees were elected to the board following Arielle Tepper Madover's election to the office of Chair of the Board of Trustees in December 2013.

The 17th Annual Perry-Mansfield New Works Festival, scheduled to be held June 13 - 14, announced three theatres coming together in the Rocky Mountains to develop new works. Actors Theatre of Louisville (Kentucky), Primary Stages (New York) and South Coast Repertory (California) are confirmed for the festival that is presented under Artistic Director Andrew Leynse (Artistic Director, Primary Stages), Producer and Director of Theatre Emily Tarquin (Denver Center Theatre Company, CO) and Executive Producer Jim Steinberg. The festival is sponsored by The Harold and Mimi Steinberg Charitable Trust.

The Board of Trustees of The Public Theater just announced that Arielle Tepper Madover has been elected as The Public's new Board Chair. Madover, who joined the board in 2009, has been an active member of the Executive Committee, serving as Board Vice-Chair for the last year and Chair of The Public's Commercial Projects Committee since 2011. She was Co-Chair of The Public's 2013 Gala and the 50thAnniversary Gala in 2012, achieving the highest grossing galas in Public Theater history. A Tony Award-winning producer, Madover will serve a three year term effective immediately.

The 2013 Harold and Mimi Steinberg Charitable Trust honored playwrights Annie Baker and Rajiv Joseph at last night's 2013 Steinberg Playwright Awards held at Lincoln Center Theater's Mitzi E. Newhouse Theater. The evening also highlighted the work of David Henry Hwang, who received the 2012 Steinberg Distinguished Playwright Award, as last year's event was canceled due to Hurricane Sandy. Public Theater Artistic Director Oskar Eustis, Executive Director Patrick Willingham, and Chairman of the Board Warren Spector have announced the addition of seven new members to The Public's Board of Trustees. Candia Fisher, Anne Hathaway, Debby Landesman, Barbara Manocherian, and Audrey Wilf were appointed to the 40-person board in April for three-year terms, and Charlotte Relyea and Anne Clarke Wolff were appointed in June for three-year terms. A recent loss to the Board is the passing of long time Board member Nora Ephron who was honored for her service to the organization and the field at The Public's 2013 Gala this past June.

The Denver Center Theatre Company (DCTC) today announced of the lineup of playwrights and directors for its Seventh Annual Colorado New Play Summit. Over three days, February 10 -12, 2012 in downtown Denver, DCTC will present multiple showings of four play readings, a multimedia workshop and two fully-produced main stage plays, including new works by Pulitzer nominee Lisa Loomer, 2011 Obie winner Samuel D. Hunter, and direction by Broadway veterans Marcia Milgrom Dodge (Ragtime) and Sam Buntrock (Sunday in the Park with George).
