Going back to school was never as much fun or as funny as at Late Nite Catechism, appearing at Bristol Riverside Theatre September 9-13.  Written by Maripat Donovan and Vicki Quade, this one-woman interactive comedy features Nonie Newton-Riley as the irrepressible Sister who rewards her "students" with glow-in-the-dark rosaries or a seat on stage in the corner reflecting on their naughty actions.

Twenty-nine years after it premiered, playwright Jerry Mayer's "funny, touching and true-to-heart" (Variety) hit comedy ALMOST PERFECT returns to Santa Monica Playhouse as part of the Playhouse's three-year Jerry Mayer-a-thon, reuniting Mayer with director Chris DeCarlo who directed the successful 20th anniversary production of Mayer's acclaimed comedy Aspirin & ELEPHANTS (Critics' Pick, LA TIMES). Extended by popular demand, the show is now playing weekends through August 23, 2015.

The 48th season for the Alhambra Theatre & Dining promises a diverse nine-show slate with seven shows never before seen at the Alhambra. As I sat in the back of the theatre and watched the audience members leave after seeing Olde Towne Dinner Theatre's production of 2 Across on Friday night I was struck with the happiness radiating from each and every person. After talking to Director and Managing Artistic Director, Andy Heller, that was no accident. "Our goal here at Olde Towne is to send the audience away with a smile on their face and a smile in their heart." Mission accomplished Mr. Heller!

Wareham are delighted to bring back their favorite Sister in a return offering, SISTER'S EASTER CATECHISM: Will My Bunny Go To Heaven?, written and performed by Maripat Donovan (alternating with Nonie Newton-Breen) and directed by Mark Silvia. "Sister is back and as funny as ever. Our audiences are going to be Heaven-sent at this Easter delight," offers Wood. "Our audiences will be resurrected with laughter. What better way to begin the Spring than with an evening with Sister?," adds Wareham.
