Everyone's favorite fine, four-fendered friend, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, lands at The Coterie in Kansas City this summer. Based on the hit MGM motion picture and featuring The Sherman Brothers' original music from the film, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang receives its Theatre for Young Audiences World Premiere as part of The Coterie's Lab for New Family Musicals, directed by Jeff Church, from June 17 - August 3, 2014.

The audience erupted in applause last night at the end of the opening of the Muny's production of LES MISERABLES, resulting in the venue's first, complete standing ovation before the curtain call in recent memory. The Muny's Les Miserables opened last night, July 15. The fifth show of The Muny's fantastic 95th Season is directed by Richard Jay-Alexander. Last seen at The Muny in 2007, LES MISERABLES has been one of the most popular musicals since it opened in London in 1985. Everyday Rapture plays now through June 10th at Kansas City's Unicorn Theatre, starring Katie Gilchrist as Sherie Rene Scott. The show is directed by Jerry Jay Cranford with musical direction by Jeremy Watson and also features Chioma Anyanwu, Christina Burton and Bryan LaFave. Featuring four fabulous talents - Molly Denninghoff, Colleen Grate, Liz Clark Golson and Jessalyn Kincaid - as the crinoline-clad girl-group, The Wonderettes, with direction by Jerry Jay Cranford. AHT is pleased to continue the tradition of supporting local and regional talent in the second production in their 25th anniversary season.

After a week of strong previews, Eric Rosen's electrifying new production of Kansas City native John Kander and Fred Ebb's Broadway classic Cabaret is set to open tomorrow, Friday, March 25, at Kansas City Repertory Theatre. Rosen, who directs and is also the Rep's artistic director, has created a production that evokes the exciting, decadent cabaret world of pre-war World War II Berlin.
