Rose Theatre Kingston To Appoint An Artistic Director As The Company's Creative Lead

Rose Theatre Kingston today announces that Chief Executive Robert O'Dowd and the Board have decided to appoint an Artistic Director as the creative lead for the company. This new appointment comes after the decision of Jerry Gunn to step down as Executive Producer. Rose Theatre Kingston today announces Eoin McAndrew, Eilidh Nurse and Sid Sagar have been chosen to have their new plays The Devil's In The Chair, Miles and Dark Faces in the Night worked on and performed as part of its inaugural New Writing Festival, a week-long event running from 9 a?" 13 September. The festival will feature rehearsed readings of the three new plays as well as arts engagement workshops for young people focused on new writing.

Rose Theatre Kingston, The Original Theatre Company and Karl Sydow today announce the full cast and creative team for the first major revival of Stephen Jeffreys' Valued Friends. Michael Fentiman directs Natalie Casey (Sherry), Ralph Davis (Scott), Sam Frenchum (Paul), Michael Marcus (Howard), Catrin Stewart (Marion) and Nicolas Tennant (Stewart). The production opens at Rose Theatre Kingston on 26 September, with previews from 20 September, and runs until 12 October.

Curve announces the title of its 2019 Christmas show for children and their families, a brand-new production based on the number one best-selling picture book by Giles Andreae and Guy Parker-Rees, Giraffes Can't Dance. The show will be produced in association with Hachette Children's Group and Coolabi Group and will run in the Curve's 300-seat studio from 9 to 31 Dec this year.

She is currently directing the UK tour and first stage adaptation of Louis de Bernieres' best-selling novel Captain Corelli's Mandolin, a co-production between Rose Theatre Kingston, Neil Laidlaw and Birmingham Repertory Theatre.

Sheffield Theatres' SHOW BOAT and FLOWERS FOR MRS HARRIS together took Best Musical Production, while Clare Burt picked up a performance award for the former and Rebecca Trehearn for the latter.
