Performance Space 122's contemporary performance festival, COIL, returns in an expanded edition for its seventh year.

Performance Space 122 will present the highly anticipated U.S. debut of renegade Lebanese artist Rabih Mroué.

Performance Space 122 is pleased to announce that three popular theater works from the contemporary performance festival COIL will extend. Young Jean Lee's Untitled Feminist Show, the TEAM's Mission Drift, and Temporary Distortion's Newyorkland will now run thru February 4, 2012. Powerhouse Broadway veteran Tovah Feldshuh stars in Gypsy at Bristol Riverside Theatre as part of its 25th Anniversary Season on December 6-January 15. With music by Jule Styne, lyrics by Stephen Sondheim and book by Arthur Laurents, the production is directed by Keith Baker and also features Robert Newman, Amanda Rose, Brittney Lee Hamilton, Joe Grandy, Bethe B. Austin, Kathryn Kendall, and Demetria Joyce Bailey.

The 2009 Tony Award Winning Musical Revival HAIR: The American Tribal Love-Rock Musical, will play Philadelphia's Academy of Music for a limited engagement Jan. 3 - 8 as part of the Broadway Season, which is presented by The Kimmel Center and The Shubert Organization. The press opening is Tues. Jan. 3 at 7:30 pm.

PUNK YANKEES is a provocative and entertaining dance theater work that combines live performance, video, and the internet to unpack ideas about authenticity, originality, and the ownership of dance in the digital age. The Chicago-based dance theater company, Lucky Plush Productions, is led by Artistic Director Julia Rhoads, who teams up with music sampling artist Stefen Robinson (Yea Big) and media artists John Boesche and Julie Ballard.

Award-winning Broadway star Faith Prince is to replace Klea Blackhurst in The Best of Times, 42nd Street Moon's 80th Birthday salute to Tony-winning Broadway composer/lyricist, Jerry Herman. The Best of Times will be presented at the Alcazar Theatre on Thursday, January 26 at 7 pm.

Multi-Tony award winning choreographer and director Jerome Robbins gives us a contemporary version of Arthur Laurents' classic book. Unfortunately, I did not care for several of Robbins' creative liberties.

The New York Times reports today that a FINDING NEVERLAND musical has been greenlighted by The Weinstein Company for further development following successful readings in London last week. The project was last workshopped in New York this past spring and was scheduled to premiere at the La Jolla playhouse this fall. The Weinstein's pulled the project at the last minute (which was replaced at La Jolla by the Startford Festival's Jesus Christ Superstar, currently running) to develop further. Tony Award winner Rob Ashford helms the project, which has Broadway apsirations. The project marks the first musical on which the Weinstein company is lead producer.

The producers of the international hit comedy My Mother's Italian, My Father's Jewish & I'm in Therapy! by Steve Solomon, currently running at Toronto's Bathurst St. Theatre, have announced that the show has been extended once again due to popular demand through to February 26, 2012.

The Baryshnikov Arts Center (BAC) ihas announced the spring 2012 performance season, which runs January 12 to June 17 and features a dynamic roster of international artists from the worlds of theater, dance, music, and film. The program includes several New York, U.S., and World Premieres, works developed in residence at BAC, and presentations made especially to be performed on BAC's stages.

With former gymnast Cathy Rigby playing Peter, there are some stunning aerial feats of derring-do as she whizzes through the stars and leads the three youngsters to Neverland. Even the most jaded theatergoer finds himself caught up in what has to be one the most exhilarating moments in the theater.
