Ghostlight Records will present the innovative new album from LEA DeLARIA, House of David: delaria + bowie = jazz, which boldly reexamines the work of music icon David Bowie. It will be available in digital formats on June 23 with CDs in stores July 24. DeLaria is the television, stage and music star currently best known as 'Carrie 'Big Boo' Black' in the hit Netflix series 'Orange is the New Black.' The first major jazz reworking on Bowie's beloved catalog, the album features tracks such as a smooth bossa nova interpretation of 'Golden Years,' a trenchant 'Life On Mars' and a roof-raising gospel take on 'Modern Love.' The Broadway Dreams Foundation held its second annual Champagne & Caroling Gala last night at Celsius, a restaurant, bar and event space within Citi Pond at Bryant Park (5th Ave and 42nd Street) on Monday, December 10. At this one of a kind urban winter wonderland in of the heart of midtown Manhattan, Broadway's brightest stars and patrons of the arts joined together for a festive celebration of the country's premier musical theatre training program. The Broadway Dreams Foundation will hold its second annual Champagne & Caroling Gala at Celsius, a restaurant, bar and event space within Citi Pond at Bryant Park (5th Ave and 42nd Street) on Monday, December 10, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. At this one of a kind urban winter wonderland in of the heart of midtown Manhattan, Broadway's brightest stars and patrons of the arts will join together for a festive celebration of the country's premier musical theatre training program. The evening will include festive cocktails, hors d'oeuvres and performances by Tony, Grammy and Emmy Award-winner Marc Shaiman, BDF Artistic Director Nicholas Rodriguez (Tarzan, "One Life to Live"), teaching artists Billy Porter (Kinky Boots), Matthew Scott (Jersey Boys), Kirsten Scott (Follies), Morgan James (Godspell), BDF alumni Ryann Redmond (Bring It On The Musical), current Broadway Dreams students from across the country.

In honor of her recent extension at Off-Broadway's DR 2 Theatre, Judy Gold, star of The Judy Show - My Life As A Sitcom, visited the NASDAQ MarketSite in New York City's Times Square to ring the Opening Bell on Tuesday morning, August 16th. Introduced by David Wicks, VP, NASDAQ OMX, Judy rang the opening bell surrounded by friends and colleagues as the ceremony was broadcast onto the NASDAQ jumbo-tron in Times Square.

Sunday night, December 10th at Joe's Pub at the Public Theater, BroadwayWorld.com celebrated the holidays with an exciting, star-studded concert to raise money for Broadway Cares / Equity Fights AIDS. It also blew the roof out! Santa, his elves and everything but the kitchen sink were on show and brought cheer and cheers for all. The cast dressed to kill and thrill.
