Dixon Place presents its new commission MY OLD MAN (AND OTHER STORIES) - a collection of theatrical short stories by the acclaimed performer, writer, and downtown favorite Jess Barbagallo (Half Straddle, The Big Dance Theater). 

MELODRAMA is an exhibition in two acts taking place between Luxembourg & Dayan's London and New York gallery spaces. The show includes seven sculptures and a series of photographs that function as characters in a melodramatic play. Cloaked under commonplace appearances, the works perform dramatic attitudes, generate heightened emotions, and pervade pathos into the gallery space.

Indonesian philanthropist and leading collector Haryanto Adikoesoemo announced today the construction of the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art in Nusantara (Museum MACAN, pronounced Mah-Chahn), the country's first museum dedicated to international modern and contemporary art. The museum is currently being built in Jakarta, Indonesia - the largest city in Southeast Asia with a metropolitan population of over 25 million- and will provide the public with a valuable cultural and educational resource.
