At 9 p.m. ET, 'Grimm' (1.6/5 in 18-49, 5.2 million viewers overall) maintained 100 percent of last week's 18-49 rating for the show's Friday night season debut, to rank #1 in the hour among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox. 'Grimm' was #1 or tied for #1 among those networks from 9-10 in adults and men 18-34; adults, men and women 18-49; and adults, men and women 25-54.

Regina Spektor, the singer/songwriter/prodigious pianist who sells out halls like Radio City in New York, the Royal Albert in London and the Sydney Opera House in Australia at the drop of her stylish hat, will perform at Jorgensen Center for the Performing Arts at UConn tonight, October 6, at 8 pm.

CBS (13.29 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 3.3, #1) was the network to beat on Thursday with week two of 'The Big Bang Theory' (15.38 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 4.9, #1), 'Two and a Half Men' (12.67 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 3.7, #T2), 'Person of Interest' (14.62 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 3.1, #T4) and 'Elementary' (11.22 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 2.6, #T6).

NBC's late-night stars have opened the 2012-13 television season with #1 finishes for the week of September 24-28 versus the ABC and CBS time-period competition, as 'The Tonight Show with Jay Leno' delivered bigger audiences in adults 18-49 and total viewers than CBS's 'Late Show with David Letterman' and ABC's combination in that hour of 'Nightline' and 'Jimmy Kimmel Live,' while 'Late Night With Jimmy Fallon' topped CBS's 'Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson' and 'Kimmel' in their head-to-head half-hour. Note that 'Tonight' and 'Late Show' both rounded to a 0.7 rating in adults 18-49 for the week, while Jay delivered a bigger audience in that category. Monday's 'Late Night' and Friday's 'Kimmel' were encores.

Wednesday Results (based on official nationals): From 8-8:30 p.m. ET, 'Animal Practice' (1.3/4 in 18-49, 4.6 million viewers overall) retained 93 percent of the prior week's time-slot premiere rating (1.4) in a highly competitive half-hour versus Fox's 'The X Factor,' CBS's 'Survivor' and ABC's 'The Middle.'

The Improv Standup Comedy Club & Dinner Theatre is opening in Atlanta with a bang. The Improv perhaps best known for its A&E network show An Evening at the Improv will open in the prestigious Buckhead nightlife destination, Andrews Entertainment District, tonight, October 4th, 2012. Headlining the Atlanta Improv opening is comic legend Louie Anderson who made his television debut on the 'The Tonight Show' in 1984 with Johnny Carson.

Josh Wolf will perform stand-up at Comedy Works Larimer Square, October 5 and 6. Brad Williams is set to appear at Comedy Works Landmark Village, tonight, October 4 - 7

Janet Brenner and Michael Coco will present Fiction in Photographs, a new musical featuring the music and lyrics of Dan Mills, conceived and directed by Randy Redd, and featuring the photography of Sasha Israel. Three free presentations, open to the public, will be offered at the New World Stages/Stage 1 (340 West 50th Street, between 8th and 9th Avenues) on Wednesday October 10th (4pm), Thursday October 11th (7pm) and Friday October 12th (7pm).

At 9:31-10 p.m. ET, THE NEW NORMAL (1.7/5 in 18-49, 4.6 million in total viewers) is currently retaining 77 percent of its 18-49 lead-in from GO ON up from last week's 74 percent and up from 65 percent two weeks ago.

First Lady Michelle Obama is set for an episode of the all-new daytime show 'StEve Harvey' that will air today, October 3 (check local listings for time and channel). Mrs. Obama taped the episode in Chicago on Thursday, September 27.

NBC ranked #1 for the night among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in adults 18-49, winning six of six half-hours among those networks, with "The Voice" delivering the #1 rating of the night with week-to-week gains and "Revolution" winning among ABC, CBS and NBC in all key demos at 10.
