Sandbox One-Act Play Festival returns June 4 - 8 to its new location at West of Lenin in Fremont, premiering the latest from award-winning playwrights of The Sandbox Artists Collective. From political upheaval to lost love to artificial intelligence to a quirky tale of romance and relationships, SOAP Fest 2014 promises to have something for every palate.

Lamb's Players Theatre announced the cast for their upcoming production of Twelfth Night playing at Lamb's Players Theatre, Coronado. The show will run from May 23rd - Jun 29th.

Originally from the Philippines, Miguel Braganza II, Walter Terry scholar in the dance performance and choreography program at Harvard University in the '80s, and assistant to Tony Award-winning director John Dexter in the original Broadway production of 'M. Butterfly' from 1988-1990, joined the cast of the U.S. and international productions (Germany, Canada, UK, and Portugal) of Cameron Mackintosh's megamusical 'Miss Saigon' for 14 years: a feat that made him feel so blessed, and has prompted him to donate his time, talents, and resources by teaching young and up-and-coming artists, build libraries, and promote arts programs both in New York and in the Philippines to this day.

Lamb's Players Theatre announces their upcoming event '100 Hours of Stories.' From May 8 - 12, 2014, LAMB'S will make history. With the help of favorite local theatre artists, and community members, the San Diego nonprofit will present 100 consecutive hours of play and musical readings to break the Guinness World Record for Longest Marathon Theatrical Performance and celebrate Lamb's.

Virginia Repertory Theatre opens their biggest show in the Children's season, Shrek, The Musical tonight, March 14 at the Children's Theatre of Virginia at Willow Lawn, 1601 Willow Lawn Drive. With book and lyrics by David Lindsay-Abaire and music by Jeanine Tesori, the timeless fairytale of rescued damsel in distress takes many fun and quirky twists as the green and stinky swampland ogre saves Princess Fiona and wins her love. The show lasts about two hours with intermission and is best enjoyed by children and adults alike 5 years and older
