The National Alliance for Musical Theatre (NAMT) will present a reunion concert of Kirsten Childs' THE BUBBLY BLACK GIRL SHEDS HER CHAMELEON SKIN on March 30, 2015 at 7pm at 54 Below. The concert will be directed by original cast member Jerry Dixon (If/Then) with original music director Fred Carl (Miracle Brothers) leading members of the original band.

In conjunction with the exhibition SonicWorks, on view at DiverseWorks through March 1, 2014, Nameless Sound and DiverseWorks present a marathon of back-to-back performances of scores by Pauline Oliveros, an acclaimed composer, performer, humanitarian, and important pioneer in American experimental music. For more than four decades Oliveros, a Houstonnative, has explored sound, forging new ground for herself and others. Anthology, Meditations celebrates Oliveros' important role in the founding and mentoring of Nameless Sound, as well as her connections to DiverseWorks' history as an important presenter and champion of sonic art in Houston.

Saxophonist Jimmy Heath first appeared at the Blue Note in 1984 and has become a regular throughout the club's 31 year history. He has also celebrated three birthdays at the club for his 70th, 80th and 85th birthdays. A haunting American classic, THE TRIP TO BOUNTIFUL marks the first Cleveland Play House production of a work by Pulitzer Prize- and Academy Award-winner Horton Foote, and the world-premiere performance of this play by an African-American cast. Receiving the blessing of Hallie Foote, daughter of the playwright, this co-production with Round House Theatre is helmed by Timothy Douglas and stars preeminent African-American actress Lizan Mitchell as Carrie Watts. THE TRIP TO BOUNTIFUL begins in the Drury Theatre at Cleveland Play House on Friday, February 4 and runs through Sunday, February 27, 2011.
