FIREHOUSE THEATRE partners with 1708 Gallery and honors a fellow Richmond artist this Friday as it dedicates the July 26th performance of POP! to the beloved Cindy Neuschwander. 100% of ticket sales will benefit The Cindy Neuschwander Scholarship Fund established earlier this year in her memory. Jay Barrows will be giving an exclusive talkback about Andy Warhol and Pop Art immediately following the 8pm performance.

Firehouse Theatre begins its summer with a bang as we travel back to the counterculture of the '60s for POP!, a new musical with book and lyrics by Maggie-Kate Coleman and music by Anna K. Jacobs. Directed by Jase Smith (Rocky Horror Show, RENT, Reefer Madness) and sponsored by the Binger Center of Yale Repertory Theatre and The Lewis and Butler Foundation, POP! runs July 11 - August 10, 2013 with an Opening Night performance and reception on Friday, July 12 at 8pm.

Firehouse Theatre has announced the winner of the 11th Annual Festival of New American Plays, Kelly Younger's This World We Know. Based in Los Angeles, Younger is an award-winning playwright with work staged off-Broadway, regionally, and internationally. The Festival took place June 6 - 9, generously sponsored by Carole Weinstein.

The Firehouse Theatre Project is pleased to announce the appointment of Jase Smith to the position of Interim Artistic Director. Smith is well known to the Richmond theatre community as a rising star director of shows that have earned many accolades including 24 Richmond Theatre Critic's Circle Awards nominations and eight awards in various categories.

The Firehouse Theatre Project's 2008-09 regular season comes to a close with the high-spirited production of The Great American Trailer Park Musical by David Nehls (Music & Lyrics) and Betsy Kelso (Book). The show opens Thursday, April 23rd, and runs through Saturday, May 16.
